Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no commandment greater than these.”

Update on David: Home health, week one, was very good for David. Not only does he have a nurse to monitor his condition and to stay in contact with his doctors, but he has PT and OT. The therapists gave David some exercises to rebuild his strength. Jennie has encouraged and monitored his exercises. He can already do more than he could do a week ago. We are so pleased to see the improvement.
He saw doctors Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Monday we learned his blood levels are being maintained much better and received his Procrit injection. Wednesday, we saw the family practitioner who helped us link what we have heard from all the specialized doctors into one big picture. Friday, we saw his nephrologist, who is keeping close watch on the balance of medicines and lab reports.
We have wonderful teams working for us. Thank-you, God, for providing such knowledgeable medical personnel to help David fight MDS and now, non-alcoholic cirrhosis.
Special thanks to our children. Jason and his family keep making periodic trips from Georgia to help. Jennie‘s family has allowed her to be away from home for an extended time to help here. We appreciate all our children have done and are doing to help their dad.
Thank-you to all those who check this site regularly. You have been patient with me as I care for David. We also thank all our friends for their encouraging words and acts. You bless our hearts every week!
