Wednesday

Look at the birds of the air;

they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,

and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Are you not much more valuable than they?

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

~Matthew 6:26-27~

Summer and Meg have had some sleep in the midst of the storm!  Summer and I texted about three this morning.  Please continue to pray for them and others who will be visited by Hurricane Irma.

As we think about the hurricane, let’s also remember other who have or will soon face a hurricane.  In addition, our country has numerous fires burning out of control in the western states.  To top that off, we have political issues within our country and with other countries.  I want to put my hymn of the day here today.

“Master, the Tempest is Raging”, also know as “Peace, Be Still”

Summer and Megan’s Hurricane Irma adventure (most pleasant word that comes to mind now) has had many of us praying endlessly.  I’m thankful.  There are always needs – lack of salvation, unchurched people, missionaries, new church work,  thankfulness, sickness, etc.  Let’s buckle down and improve our prayer life, beginning today.
