Thursday

For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,

but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

~Psalm 1:6~

Andy Taylor is set for surgery on his right hand that will hopefully make it more useful.  Pray for him as he goes through all the preparatory work now.  Pray for his coming surgery.

Mrs. Evelyn Bridges is now stable.  It seems the surgery was effective.  Please continue to pray for her and her family members who have been so faithful to care for her.

Betty Fussell‘s surgery is scheduled for July 27th.  Keep her and her family in your prayers.

Tish Fairburn has begun her chemo.  Pray for her as she goes through this process.

Miss Fay Shoemaker spent three days in the hospital, but is now home.  Add her to your prayer list if she is not already there.

Mrs. Ruby Dillon is still a little better.  Pray she soon gets the results of the tests done earlier this week.

Operation Christmas Child – Several people brought in their composition books last night. We have a good start to the number we need.  Remember to bring your donation of composition books to my Sunday School classroom before Sunday.  I’ll give you a count soon.  We’ll be packing 350 shoeboxes this year.  Please help us each week with the item(s) we list.

Looking Ahead – Tuesday, we will have our “Young Ladies’ Birthday Party” at The Cafe at 11 A.M. All ladies are welcome to come help us celebrate the birthdays of some ladies who mean so much to us.

Third Thursday – Remember, we have taken a summer break due to family company/events.  We will not meet tonight, but will resume in September.

Yesterday, I noticed some of the writing on the back of a box from Hunt Brothers Pizza. It blessed my heart.

Our Guiding Principles: Place God first in all we do, Be a blessing to people, Trust God to meet out needs. & Strive for excellence.

Above that was an American flag with a circle of stars and words that said “United We Stand” and “In God We Trust”.

“Love Lifted Me”

I hope you enjoyed having the Statler Brothers sing for you this morning.  Have you ever felt “down” and were rescued by knowing about God’s love for you?  I certainly have. Let’s pass this message on to others.
