Wednesday

“Therefore I exhort first of all that

supplications, prayers, intercessions,

and giving of thanks be made for all men,

for kings and all who are in authority,

that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life

in all godliness and reverence.”

~1 Timothy 2:1-2~

Good news from Rev. Rod Smith!  Under the watchful eyes of a speech therapist, Rod was able to swallow honey and chocolate pudding.  He will have 12 more sessions of speech therapy.  Pray for continued improvement.

Jim Brent passed away.  From Mary Criswell:  My last brother joined the rest of my family around 4 am. Jim was with his family and slipped away peacefully! Any oldtimers that may be so inclined may wish to make donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or a charity of their choice! A Memorial Service will be held at a later date!

How wonderful it is for parents to recognize how much their children are learning at church, but it is only because of parents who faithfully see that their children are present that churches can teach their children.  Let’s take time to thank God for parents who faithfully get their children to classes (Sunday School, Missions, Bible Drill, VBS, etc.).  What a blessing it is to see families sitting together, sometimes three or more generations of a family, on a regular basis at church.  As you thank God for those who are present, pray also for other families who have opportunities to begin this wonderful experience for their children.
