Sharon Ann Gabriel, born May 12, 1952, died November 9, 2013 at the age of 61 years at her residence in Amite, Louisiana surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of Shirley Guitrau Gabriel and the late Parker C. Gabriel, Sr. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Gabriel; one brother, Parker “Chuck” Gabriel, Jr. and wife, Becki; one sister, Elizabeth “Suzie” Saint and husband, Steve; nephews, Charlie Gabriel and Russ Sanders; nieces, Tina Doughty, Shelley Wright, and Ann Mooney; and numerous great nephews, great nieces, many friends and extended family. Preceded in death by grandparents, Harry and Laura Gabriel, Ponchatoula and Edgar and Catherine Guitrau, Springfield. She was a graduate of Amite High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. She worked as a registered nurse for 39 years. She was a member of the St. Helena Catholic Church, Professional Nursing Organizations, and the Stem and Stamen Garden Club. She was an avid gardener and a jogger. She could be seen most afternoons jogging with her dog, Mazy.
