Friday

 Don’t worry about anything;

instead, pray about everything.

Tell God what you need,

and thank him for all he has done.

Then you will experience God’s peace,

which exceeds anything we can understand.

His peace will guard your hearts and minds

as you live in Christ Jesus.

~Philippians 4:6 NLT~

Shane Wicks

There will be a memorial service for Shane, son of Suzie Sharkey, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the sanctuary of FBC, Kentwood.  Please continue to pray for the family as they face the coming days.

Majel Dean requests prayer for Nan Coon

“Would you add Nan Coon to prayer link. She is in North Oaks and has kidney failure”.

Jean Easley (Mrs. Joe Easley)

The “roller coaster ride” continues and has made an upward turn.  The doctors keep adjusting her treatment.  She has been sitting up which was good therapy for those who saw her.

Sherman Cutrer

James Rimes said Sherman Cutrer will have another surgery next week.  Pray for him and his family as his ordeal continues.

Nyra Rigby

Karen Miller’s mom continues to do well with her treatments.  Thank God for this good report.

Norman Stuart

Mr. Norman is “about the same – no change”.  Pray for the family as they remain at his side.

Cindy Juban, Baton Rouge

Andy Taylor’s sister, Cindy, is having continuing treatment in Baton Rouge.  Due to her poor vision, she must depend on medical transport.  She also deals with equipment that doesn’t function properly all the time.  These issues have been difficult and make difficult days even more difficult.

Gail Brister

Gail’s doctor has discontinued appointments and leaves continued therapy improvements to her.  Pray she can continue to work with that wrist and make more progress.

Steve Hatchel, Texas

Radiation will be discontinued for the next five days, but chemotherapy will continue.  Also, the number of visitors will be reduced so Mr. Steve can get some rest and try to increase his sleeping.  The family thanks you for your continued prayers for Mr. Steve.  Pray for Boyd and Jennie as they travel today and tomorrow to get to Richmond, VA where they will be living and working for the next year.

Sharkey Family

Pray for the Sharkeys as they have a final service for Shane today in Utah.  I was unable to locate an obituary this morning.

Tuesday Addition

From Susie Sharkey

Please be in prayer for me on this sad day. My heart is breaking. My oldest son Shane is in Salt Lake City on life support till I can get there but he is gone. He is 42 with 5 children. Just asking for your prayers. Larissa and Little Harrell are with me. I should be there at 10:00.

Note:  I taught Shane many years ago, probably about 30.  He was the first member of the family I knew.                                                                                        ~ala~

Tuesday

“I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened
so you may know what is the hope of His calling,

and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe.”
~Ephesians 1:18-19a, HCSB~

Mrs. Joe Easley

Jean is a little better.  Jean’s family and friends are thankful for each step in a positive direction.  They appreciate your prayers.

Devotional, Scripture, & a Song

Baptist Press –   BPNews.net

I can relate to some, not all, portions of the articles about missionary parents/grandparents.  What a great honor for the family to have members serving internationally!  It’s not always easy, but oh, the joy of the reunion we had last week!

We can all serve in out own way.  I feel called to do the things I do.  I hope you have found your calling too!
