Tuesday Evening

Macy Gueldner (Written by her mother)

Macy needs a few extra prayers. She started with a small fever at school that rose to 102.4 by the time she got home. An ER trip to Baton Rouge was a definite. While getting her packed up to go, I noticed that her eyes were crossed and fixed in that position. It scared the heck out of me. She couldn’t focus on me, so I literally threw her into the car and raced to our local ER. I spoke with her doctor on the way, and he assured me that the fever was the culprit, and that she should be safe to travel to BR. So I sped right back home, where Jeremy took over. He’s on his way with her to OLOL ER. They let me give her Tylenol for the ride, and he said that she already looks a little better. Please pray for Jeremy, that he has a decent night, and pray that Macy gets over this quickly. She was really miserable.
Thank you Jessamy Core Long for giving me the heads up and always taking great care of Macy.

Harold Stokes

Harold had his aorta replaced today.  He is doing well.  The family has already had an opportunity to see him.  Please continue to pray for him.

Tuesday

 Blessed is the man

who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked

or stand in the way of sinners

or sit in the seat of mockers.

~Psalm 1:1~

Pray for our neighbor, Sherry Day, as she sees a doctor Thursday to make plans for future treatment/surgery.  Pray for Sherry and her family as they face what God has ahead for them with faith and courage.

Pray for the Harold Stokes family of Amite as Harold has open heart surgery today.  Pray for comfort and patience during the surgery/recovery time.

CaringBridge – Macy Gueldner

We are now more than halfway done with the last phase of Macy’s treatment!!! 7 weeks of induction, 8 weeks of consolidation, and 61 out of 120 weeks down of maintenance… only 59 weeks to go! Macy’s counts were good again today. This marks several weeks of good counts, so I’m expecting an increase in chemo soon. She got Vincristine today and started her week of steroids… YUCK! This should be her “bad week,” but last month’s wasn’t too bad, so please pray for a not-so-bad bad week.

All in all, we’re enjoying our semi-normal, crazy life. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m counting down the days until Spring break!! It can’t get here soon enough! We’re loving the warmer weather, but could stand to dry out a bit. Where’s the sun? Has anyone seen it?

Take in the beauty of the world God created.  Choose something like the clouds, a tree, a rainbow, a leaf, a bird, or a horse to admire.  Think what a a mess you would have made if you had tried to create anything.  Thank God for His creation.
