If you travel early in the mornings or mid-afternoon, watch for school children.

OCC – David has been busy making purchases for our next packing day. One friend helped to pay for them last week. Another friend will be helping to pay for the purchases this month. We are very thankful for you. Little children who receive our “Shoeboxes” are also blessed and thankful.

It certainly is good to talk to TPL readers. Always remember you and your prayers are why TPL is published.

“See” you in the morning.

Sunday, the Lord’s Day!

When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

~Isaiah 43:2~

Linda LeBlanc is doing well at Mayo Hospital following heart surgery. She should be able to come home soon. Her family has had quite an experience.

Others, who have previously been listed, seem to be doing about the same.

Pray for the local students to make good adjustments to new subjects and teachers this school year. Two young ladies from our church, Hope Brister and Delanie Dean, are beginning of their teacher careers. Pray for them as they touch the lives of their students and as they learn so much.

  • But those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
    They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint
    .
  • I hope you have that hope in the Lord.

AUGUST 13 – Romans 7: 21-25

Today, if you get out and shop some, please consider helping out with “Shoeboxes” by purchasing dolls at Dollar Tree, and/or crayons and jump ropes at Walmart. You can leave your purchases in the hallway beneath the sanctuary or we can make a vehicle to vehicle transfer at church on a Sunday or Wednesday. These are our most needed items at this time. Our next workday will be the first Saturday of September.

Today, let’s pray for our city, state, and country. Ask God to guide our leaders to making us a nation that looks to God as we did when we first became a nation.

Make necessary preparations to be prepared for church attendance tomorrow. If you have someone in your class who is not able to attend now, get some literature to them. Your class member will be most appreciative.

Have hope in the Lord.
