I grew up knowing Tommy and Francis Ann. Tommy’s daddy worked with my daddy at the telephone company. Francis Ann went to my church and played the piano until she got married and moved to Tommy’s church. We ran across them periodically in Amite. It’s hard to believe they are both deceased.

KBC, KENTWOOD was packed with people three times in the last week!

First, the Sunday worship service was full as people gathered for church. Every service is special as we spend this time to worship. How wonderful it is to share this time with others!

Second, Wednesday, there was a special service “A Night of Joy”, that focused on youth, but was appropriate for everyone as we learned how our sins are like links of a chain that we try to carry.around rather than giving them to God.

Yesterday, there was a memorial service for Morgan “Mo” Shockley. There were many guests in the church who can to “Pay their respects” to the family and to remember her as she touched their lives. Thanks to all from the church who helped, in any way, in the service and the meal for the family.

I’m thankful for individuals and the church as a whole, as they represent Jesus in our community.

PRAYED FOCUS

Today, let’s focus our prayer on young families. Thank God for them, especially if your family has some young families. Pray they will spend time in church weekly and train their children to follow Jesus.

If possible, find a way you can assist or inspire then to attend, participate, and to put Jesus first. Both you and the families can be blessed in this way.
