Austin, whose parents are from Amite, was diagnosed with a rare leukemia one year ago.  Today, his is healthy and  looking forward to his senior year.  Thank God for Austin’s progress during this time and the unwavering faith of his mother, Denise.

If you have not purchased your jars of jelly or jam for God’s Storehouse, this might be a good day to do so.  Drop them in the area by the stairway for the FBC, Kentwood stairway.  A label will be applied before delivery.  It will provide a wonderful message, John 4:16.

Our friend, Sherry Day, had her brain procedure yesterday.  They only had to “zap” it for ten minutes because it was found while still so small.  I know she feels like me, blessed!

Paula A. Splane had knee surgery yesterday.  Pray for her as she begins physical therapy today.

Ray Blackwell’s surgery went well.  Pray for him as he recovers and looks ahead to the next step.

John Alan Blackwell will have surgery Monday.  Pray for his family as they care for multiple family members.

Mrs. Hellen Morris (from Lauree)

Mama had to stay in the cardiac ICU @ Southwest for a couple of days.
Her heart got out of rhythm. She has been moved to a regular room now.
She will probably move at some point back to a rehab facility. Please
keep her in your prayers. She misses her church family so very much.

Mr. Burnell Simpson

Mr. Burnell was able to be in Sunday School and church yesterday.  I think God Mr. Burnell has made good progress since his heart procedure.

Mr. Bobby will have a fourth shoulder surgery on the 26th.  Let’s pray they remove enough tissue this time.

Aubrey had back surgery and is home recovering.  Pray he too can “take it easy” for a while as he heals from surgery.

Sherry Day

Our neighbor, Sherry, has completed all testing and will be having radiation surgery (similar to my gamma-knife surgery) next week.  Monday, she will probably learn which day.  Sherry’s procedure will be done in Baton Rouge.  She realizes she is so blessed and looks forward to having his procedure behind her.  I’m thanking God for this break-though in treatment that will help more and more people.  Pray for Sherry as she looks forward to her day of treatment.

Ladies’ Prayer Lunch

I was invited to meet with a new group in Amite yesterday – Ladies’ Prayer Lunch.  We will meet monthly and will begin a study of women of the Bible next time.  Pray for out group as we grow in Lord.

VBS @ Kentwood

What a great group of children and volunteers we had!  I thank God for allowing me to be a part of VBS again this year.  I appreciate all the workers who gave of their time to impact young lives.  It was good seeing all the parents, grandparents, and friends who support the children.  I’m already looking forward to the next VBS.
