Thankfulness: Day 11

Today, I’m thankful I was born in America, a country that has a history of setting a high standard for others and a nation established on God’s Word. I’m also thankful for those who have served in our military to protect our country and to help provide peace throughout the world. May God bless America!

Saturday

“Everyone who does evil hates the light,

and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light,

so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done in the sight of God.”

~John 3:20-21 NIV~

Pray for Carol New who is in daily pain because of a health problem.

Mr. Kenneth Felker said “Miss” Grace Helen is doing better and was to be moved from ICU to a regular room at OLOL.

Mrs. Clemons was known as “Mrs. Lorena,” and “Momee.” She attended Arkansas A&M where she played college basketball. She was an avid reader always interested in current events and an extensive traveler, journeying to many parts of the world. She loved gardening, and was well known for growing day lilies. Her flowers gave her and the many friends who came to visit great joy. Mrs. Clemons is survived by her children: M. LaMarr Clemons and his wife, Mary Ann of Amite; D. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hurschel David (H.D.) Clemons, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Augustus Pierce, her brothers, Homer Leo Pierce and Atlas Augustus Pierce, her sister, Mabel Pierce Ollar, and her son-in law, John Joseph Edwards. The family wishes to give deep appreciation for the care given by Dr. Reginald H. Goldsby for many years, Hood Memorial Hospital and to Wilkinson Care Givers for the help they provided the last weeks of her life. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Amite, La., on Friday, September 14, 2012; visitation will be held from 8:30 am until 11:00 am, with services of the Celebration of her Life to begin at 11:00 am. Presiding over the services will be Reverend Ken Bowman and Reverend Mike Foster. Interment Amite Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to First Baptist Church of Amite or First United Methodist Church of Amite or the H. D. and Lorena P. Clemons Scholarship Fund at Baylor University.

Sunday

The heavens declare the glory of God;

and the firmament shows His handiwork.

Day unto day utters speech,

and night unto night reveals knowledge.

There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.”

~Psalm 19:1-3~

Dear Partners In Prayer:
Marilyn and I continue to rejoice at God’s faithfulness in our lives as a couple, and how he is choosing to use us in ministry at FT Campbell and beyond.

1). Please continue to pray for the lives that were impacted at VBS at FT Campbell. Pray that we will see “Fruit That Remains”!

2). Pray for Marilyn and I as we will be leading the “Bridges To Healing” Christ Centered Solutions For Combat Trauma starting Sept. 5th. Also pray for the small group Bible study “Courageous Honor Begins At Home” that will begin. Sept. 5th.

3). The 101st Airborne will start deploying again in Sept. For some of these men and women it will be their 4th deployment! Pray for safety, and opportunities to share Jesus with those who do not know Him personally.

4). Marilyn and I still see the need to be closer to FT Campbell. Until we can sell our house pray the Lord may open up doors for us to have lodging available so we can minister more effectively to our men and women in uniform.

Again Marilyn and I are humbled by your love, prayers and support. Prayerfully visit our link below, and ask God how you can partner with us in this great harvest field of souls!

Yours For Today’s Military,
Ron and Marilyn
