“I looked, and between the throne and the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders stood a Lamb who appeared to have been slaughtered. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes (the eyes are the seven Spirits of God sent out over all the earth)“.
This verse describes Jesus as a sacrificed Lamb with seven horns and seven eyes, representing the Holy Spirit’s power and knowledge sent out to the entire earth.
It’s up to us. He always chooses us. Seek Him today.

‘The Sevenfold Spirit’
Revelation 1:4-5 is an apostolic greeting from John to the seven churches in Asia, bestowing grace and peace from the triune God: the Father (the eternal, unchanging one), the seven spirits (representing the Holy Spirit’s perfection or full ministry), and Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of all earthly kings. The passage continues by acknowledging Jesus’ love for believers and His act of freeing them from sin through His sacrificial blood.
Greeting to the Seven Churches
4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood

Whenever the Lord raised up a judge over Israel, he was with that judge and rescued the people from their enemies throughout the judge’s lifetime. For the Lord took pity on his people, who were burdened by oppression and suffering.
How will you show them God loves them through you?

‘Behold the King!’ (Mt. 21:4-7)

7 They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them.
Through “Missions”, we show God’s love to others. There are many ways to do that. Check with your pastor to learn of opportunities to share God’s love in Kentwood, in our area, and in our world.
Ask you pastor how you can do this through your church. You can also do it as an individual without any church involvement. I think the best way is a combination of both. How do you do missions?

You can get some ideas from what others have done and currently are doing.
Today, let’s pray for God to guide us this month as we serve and honor Him. May we be more faithful in “doing” during this time. What a great way to grow!
Friday, Glenda Harrell will have an ablation, not an angiogram, in Covington.
Please be in prayer for her and all the others listed on your personal pray list. No two of us probably have the same names listed because we have different family members, differents neighbors, different churches, different friends, etc. That is why personal prayer lists are so important.

‘Then You Will Know!’
[God said through Ezekiel to the Israelites in exile,]
“I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.”
What a great day this is going to be! There is a strong hint of fall in the air. I doubt any of us will be upset by temperatures slightly cooler this week.
