Prayer Focus Today – People who need to KNOW the Lord

Anna Lee

Tuesday

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

~Exodus 20:12~

This was one of the first verses I learned as a young child.

I was told Luther Terrell’s aunt who lives next door to him fell and broke a hip. She had surgery in Hattisburg yesterday. Please pray for recovery and healing.

Pray for Bryan Tate as he has testing at MD Anderson today.

The Young family of five from Greensburg lost a camper trailer to a big gust of wind yesterday. The camper is on it’s side in a ravine and cannot be moved yet due to more winds. The family is safe and tucked into a motel for now. God watched over them and kept their truck from going with the the trailer. Thank God for protecting them and and providing for their needs. Pray as they “count their blessings” and make future decisions.

Monday

Because you are his sons,

God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts,

the Spirit who calls out,

“Abba, Father.”

~Galatians 4:6~

Please be in prayer for the family of Ray Cathey who passed away. I’ll post an obituary when one is available.

Operation Christmas Child Workday (5-22-21)

Thank-you to everyone who came and worked to help prepare for sending “shoeboxes” to boys and girls around the world. Many tasks were completed. The people learned how to help and shared a “sweet spirit” in the process.

There are five additional work days scheduled. They will be on the fourth Saturday of June through October. If you would like to work at other times too, please get with me so we can schedule a time.

This weekend, we received several bags of items for shoeboxes. Some of the items received in the past few days are tote bags that can hold the shoeboxes later, beautiful, soft stuffed animals that are a perfect size, and bars of soap. Thank-you to the individuals and classes who contributed.

Prayer Focus for Today

Pray for drivers to be aware of children who are out of school and outside playing near the streets.
