“Enter through the narrow gate.

For wide is the gate and broad is the road

that leads to destruction,

and many enter through it.

But small is the gate and narrow the road

that leads to life,

and only a few find it.

~Matthew 7:13-14~

Yesterday’s special service at FBC certainly honored first responders and God in all that was said and done.

Mrs. Barbara Hutchinson called last night.  She said she was sick and hospitalized while on her big trip to Colorado.  She had acute mountain sickness, caused by the altitude change and dehydration.  She’s home now and still recovering.  Pray that a couple days of rest and nourishment, along with the medication, will have her feeling much better.  Pray for her as she sees a specialist tomorrow about her hip problem.  I’m also thanking God she had the opportunity to go to Colorado and enjoy some of her stay there and for those who took such good care of her on the bad days.

Third Thursday

  • Meet at our cabin at 6:30 this Thursday.
  • Enjoy the fellowship, food, and sharing.
  • Come if you can.

Saturday

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,

the author and perfecter of our faith,

who for the joy set before him endured the cross,

scorning its shame,

and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

I saw Sheila yesterday.  She said Sammy is in physical therapy now which will, hopefully, maintain the movement he has.  Pray for all the family as they continue to “travel this road”.

Macy Gueldner, Mary Catherine Gueldner. & Martha P. Drago

Macy’s counts are very low, during a week where they should’ve doubled. I guess the increase in chemo finally caught up to her. So, her chemo this week is on hold. They’ll check again next week, and hopefully she can get back on track. She’s in good spirits; she just doesn’t have much immunity. So we’re hoping to stay germ free.As for me (Mary Catherine, Macy’s mom), my doctor ordered an MRI of my entire spine. He’s afraid I have ruptured a disc underneath my fusion. He said, “You are a tiny person, and Macy is not so tiny.” We’re both hoping that my lower back problem is just temporary. We’ll see…I have some good news: my mother in law (Martha) has only 4 radiation treatments before the end of her cancer journey 🙂

Friday Morning Bible Study

Yesterday, in Chick-Fil-A, I witnessed something I have never seen before at any restaurant or other place of business.  A worker was praying with a customer!  The young man is on fire for God.  This causes me to ask this question, “Why is this the very first time I have seen this?”.  We were impressed when we talked with him later.

Let’s use this day to answer the question, “Is My Master Satisfied with Me?”.

Tuesday

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision:

“Do not be afraid;

keep on speaking, do not be silent.

For I am with you,

and no one is going to attack and harm you,

because I have many people in this city.”

~Acts 18:9-10~

Gafford Family

The family continues to receive encouragement from many people.  They are looking at progress Koltyn has made and great milestones for the rest of the family.  Please continue to pray.

Gueldner Family

We had a really great holiday weekend, with new friends and family. Unfortunately, Macy got really sick. For the first time in a long time she had lots of vomiting and diarrhea, in addition to the usual pain that she gets with the chemo she received Thursday. We were just about to bring her to the hospital when she gradually started improving. She’s feeling much better now, and her appetite has increased each day.
I have an important appointment Wednesday, so some extra prayers would be comforting. I’m starting to realize that handling Macy is putting a big toll on my body. She’s more than a third of my weight, and if you’ve held her before, you know she’s a sack of bricks. My neck has some new issues and my lower decided that it was jealous and that it needed some attention too. We’ll see how bad it is soon.
Cate is enjoying summer. For her, it’s consisted of swimming, camping, and gymnastics. Jeremy is enjoying his new job, and his new hobby (smoking meats.) We don’t mind taste testing smile emoticon  Thanks for the prayers, as always! We’re making it through… one day at a time.

Doug Toney

Monday July 6, 2015
Doug is doing so much better. He does physical therapy twice a day. They have him sit in a chair for two hours a day, which helps with strength. The back wound is healing .
We enjoyed several visitors the last few days. Please continue to pray for complete healing. God is good.  (Sandy)
