Thursday

“After these things I looked, and behold,

a great multitude which no one could number,

of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues,

standing before the throne and before the Lamb,

clothed with white robes,

with palm branches in their hands.”

~Revelation 7:9~

Susan Rimes did well yesterday afternoon.  So did the doctor.  Pray for Susas as she continues to battle kidney stones.

Mrs. Dorothy Hughes has pneumonia.  Mr. Jack is not healthy either.  Please pray for this Kentwood couple and their family.

I introduced you to the Jones family earlier.  This is an update.  Look around on their blog to learn more about their family.

“Risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of.”

~Luke 19:26 MSG~

Humility doesn’t mean that you think less of yourself,

but that you think of yourself less.

~~~Max Lucado~~~
I haven’t heard any reports from See You at the Pole this morning, but I hope our young people turned out and set a good example for others.
There are 41 more days until the election.  If you have not already joined 40 Days of Prayer for America, I hope you will do so today.
There will be an area wide (larger than just our association) training for Sunday School Teachers Monday night at FBC, Kentwood from 6:00-8:30.  I understand there are only four in the state.  This replaces the meetings such as Blitz on the Bayou.
Wendell Miller surgery for a pacemaker went well this week.  Keep him in your prayers as he recovers and adjusts to this device.
Andy Taylor learned Monday the doctor will try two more things before surgery.  The coming six weeks he will wear a larger brace and have a gel to rum on to ease the pain.  Let’s pray this option works.
Kim (Newell Landry) goes in at 9 AM in the morning to be treated with the radioactive iodine! Please pray she will have no bad side effects and will be healed of this cancer!!! Thanks friends for all your prayers! Love to all of you!!  (From her mother Rosa M. Turner)
Tuesday Afternoon
A candlelight vigil will be held this evening at 7:00 for a 6-year-old boy from Watson who was struck and killed while playing in his subdivision.  Livingston deputies said Tyler Myers was playing with his scooter in the Lakes at Belle Terre subdivision when he was struck by a neighbor turning into his own driveway.  I’m sure the neighbor would appreciate your prayers too.  Funds are being collected at Chase Bank to help with the funeral expenses.
Pray for the large family of little Kye Grice.  It’s hard to let little ones go, but there is no doubt they go to heaven.
Mr. Ike Jenkins can be added to your prayer list.  The family asks that you wait to visit when Mr. Ike is feeling better.
Tuesday
“Faithful is He who calls you,
and He also will bring it to pass.”
~1 Thessalonians 5:24 NASB~
I had another great night of Beth Moore’s “Loving Well” last night at East Fork.  Next week’s study will be on Tuesday because of the Association Sunday School Teacher Training at FBC, Kentwood which will be Monday.
Tonight is the last night for “Heaven’s Gate, Hell’s Flames” at The Lord’s Church.  They begin at 6:30.  TLC is about five miles west of I-55 at Tangipahoa.
Monday
“You are the light of the world.
A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
~Matthew 5:14-16 NIV~
Reesa Birch DeLee (48) had her surgery Friday.  The mass was too complicated for removal.  I was told she will have to go to New York for more surgery.  Please pray for Reesa and her family as they face this new situation.
Andy Taylor will get the results of his evaluation today in Hattisburg.  Pray for the best decision, whatever it is, to be made.
Mrs. Mary Womack has gone three months without seeing a doctor!  She has an appointment Friday.  Pray for her as she mentally prepares for Friday.
Jimmy Schwartz was at Sunday School.  Pray for him as he continues to fight his medical battle.
Paul Boudreaux is a little better.  Pray for him and his family as they face the uncertainty of his situation.
The ladies’ meeting at the cabin was wonderful!  We enjoyed sweet fellowship.  I know we will see some fruits of our time and plan to meet again like that.
The Lord gave me everything I had, and they were his to take away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord!’
In all of this Job did not sin by blaming God.”
Early Friday Afternoon
Mrs. Annie Bell Harrell just called to report that Mr. Philip had the test about noon.  Several blockages were found.  The doctors will treat them with medication.  (“Miss” Annie Bell said she thought this was the report from Phyllis, their daugher, but there is a chance she may have misunderstood due to hear hearing problem.)  Please keep praying for both of them.
