Friday Updates

Prayers for Eli – Check his facebook page.  Prayers are in order.

Denise LaBarbera Rose – Update on her son, Austin, who turns 17 today:
Update on Austin DAY 6… Well a lot has happened in the past few days. He started his chemo and is responding tremendously well, cancer cells being killed left and right – praise you LORD! His kidneys are great ( still on dialysis). But a couple of days ago he started being non responsive and was having inexplainable violent outbursts. It took 8 nurses to contain him ( MY BOY IS STRONG!!!). Went for immediate CT SCAN. Thankfully it showed nothing. So switched his pain meds. Next day same thing. Did an EEG ( no seizures or stroke) then a contrast MRI last night. Anxiously waited and got good news this morning… His brain is normal ( those of you that know him may disagree LOL) but found nothing that would be causing the reaction. Checking spinal fluid for infection but tending toward the conclusion that it was reaction to the steroids called steroid psychosis( which is rare at this dose level) but treatable and will go away. Sedated through the night and today for chemo. now waiting for him to wake up and hopefully be himself. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET DARLIN.

Pray for Austin and his family to be able to celebrate his birthday before this day is over.

Friday

“I give thanks to my God for every remembrance of you,

always praying with joy for all of you in my every prayer,

because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”

Please pray for my aunt in Alabama, her children, and her grandchildren.  Eva Smith is hospitalized and is not doing her best.  Some of her family will be traveling there today.
