Thursday

“What man among you,

if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

If you then, who are evil,

know how to give good gifts to your children,

how much more will your Father in heaven

give good things to those who ask Him!”

~Matthew 7:9-11~

Friday Evening

Are you ready for some good medical reports?

  • Micah Tolleson, my young cousin in Texas, had an MRI to see if his brain tumor has grown back.  It seems to have been eliminated by surgery and chemo.  He will have another MRI on October.  If it come back like today’s report, he will be declared free of cancer.  Thank-you, God!
  • Chris  Wales (from Kathy)
God is so good!!! The doctor just left the room. All tests came back normal. He said Chris has Bell’s Palsy. The vertigo is from the nerve passing by his ear being weakened. Everything should clear up in several weeks to a few months. We appreciate everyone’s prayers. We definitely give God all the glory!!

Friday

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen,

but on what is unseen.

For what is seen is temporary,

but what is unseen is eternal.

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed,

we have a building from God,

an eternal house in heaven,

not built by human hands.”

~2 Cor. 4:18-5:1~

Anna Lee, Chris has been admitted to OLOL for testing and observation after suffering a mild stroke at home on Wed afternoon. We would both appreciate the prayers of your faithful followers on the prayer link.

Thank you and may God Bless all!

Hymn of the Day – “Breathe on Me”

http://www.lyricsfreak.com/c/clint+brown/breathe+on+me_21007862.html

To quote Bro. Danny, pastor of SCBC:

“Of all the things that happened today the most important thing that happened is that God in His amazing grace gave us another day.

Should He do that make it a good one if He doesn’t look me up when you get up there and let’s spend a few moments worshipping Him together.

Either way tomorrow will be a new day or a trip home! Enjoy whichever one we get! God bless.”
