Thursday Addition

Mike Moore of West Monroe

Mike is the husband of a long time friend, Robin, who is the daughter of Leroy and Margaret Ann Daniel Wilson who grew up in Roseland and Amite.  Mike had a cancer behind his eye.  Mike and Robin were told if cancer could spread to his lungs or liver.  For the past few days Mike has been with severe coughing attacks.  At first, they though of pollen and normal allergies, but are now concerned the cancer might be in his lungs.  Monday and Tuesday, they will be seeing doctors in Memphis.  Robin asks that prayer warriors begin to pray for them.  Mike knows he will be healed, but waits to see if the healing will take place here on earth or in heaven.

Mission Project

Out mission project is coming along nicely.  We are collecting jars of peanut butter to help meet needs at God’s Storehouse in Amite.  Before delivering them, a label with John 3:16 will be applied to each jar.  Bags or boxes of peanut butter can be left under the stairwell at the office entrance door to FBC,K.  Thanks to those who have already helped and those who have made their purchases, but not deliveries.  You are making a difference!

Our Daily Bread – “Talking About Jesus”

http://odb.org/?tz=-07

2Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

5For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

Let me tell you what He has done for me.”

Wednesday Addition

I forgot to mention Gail is having surgery on her wrist this morning in Baton Rouge.  When she got medical attention for the other arm, this one was thought to be okay.  She really had double trouble.  In the mealtime, the other arm is much better now.  Please pray surgery goes well and the recovery time doesn’t drag on any longer.

Wednesday

take hold of eternal life that you were called to

and have made a good confession about

Continue to pray for the family of Billy McDaniel.

Boyd made it home as we called.  We let Miles visit with his dad rather than talk with us.  I’m sure they all had a good reunion.  Thank-you to all who are praying for Boyd’s family.

Monday Update

David and I were called Mr. Steve’s cell phone, which Boyd has been using for a week while stateside, and got Mr. Steve.  We also talked with “Miss” Ginger.  They both sounded good.  Today, Mr. Steve started physical therapy and made some good progress.  He was also allowed to get a shower.  That certainly was good to improved his spirits.

Boyd was being taken to the airport by his brother, Aaron.  Boyd will leave shortly and arrive home, after only one layover, tomorrow night.  His family has managed their busy schedule while he has been away.

Thank you for your prayers for the family.  Please keep praying.

Steve Hatchel (from Boyd)

Thank you for praying for my father’s surgery. The doctor removed 98% of the tumor. After the surgery, he had decreased mobility in his left side and is unable to move his leg. The pathology report indicated a Grade 4 Multi-form Glioblastoma malignant brain tumor. My parents will be considering treatment options within the next two weeks. Please pray for my father, mother, and extended family. Please call 214-552-6437 before visiting Medical Center of Plano.

Johnnie “Lil Man” Santangelo

Update: Lil Man had to go to the ER today because of increased vomiting. The CT scan revealed swelling at the site where the tumor was removed and the shunt is working fine. They are restarting steroids to help the swelling and are giving him meds through the IV for nausea & vomiting. He’s resting now. His blood pressure is high 170’s/90’s but hopefully will come down now that he is comfortable. We will keep u posted. Keep the prayers coming. Love, The Santangelo’s
