Friday Update (Look what else I found.)

Ken Roberts (from his sister)

He did well with the placement of Impella which is a temporary VAD. Balloon pump coming out.  This was done in an effort to improve or maximize his cardiac output bc his kidneys are starting to take a hit. It remains much of the same….

It’s minute by minute, hour by hour…. Exact words…. He is going to declare himself either way in the next few days! So again, we wait and Trust God. I believe Ken is fighting & wants to live!!! He has all this amazing technology now and expert care…. We need prayers more than ever!!!! Gods will be done!!! The selfish part of all of us is wanting so desperately for him to turn than corner and hear some positive news!!! Praying for Kens miracle!!!!!!  Ok friends praying without ceasing, pray with great faith XOXO

Monday Addition

I’m so thankful for friends who check on us.  They were concerned about us and called to see if we needed anything.  We are fine!  Jason and his family came for an early breakfast “spread” on their way home.  We’ve enjoyed a quiet day since then, not realizing my last two posts were not available.  I made a quick call to my technology expert, Jason.  He immediately told me what I had done wrong.  (I also found a few other posts in the same place.)  I have learned something new today.

I will wait until tomorrow to post on my regular schedule.

I will  make a comment on David though.  Two weeks ago he had a heart ablation at the La. Heart Hospital in Lacombe.  Today’s update is that his heart has regular rhythm still.  Let’s continue to pray for his heart to continue to be free of a-fib.

Monday (Posted early) – I also had posted this incorrectly.

For the Lamb at the center of the throne

will be their shepherd;

he will lead them to

springs of living water.

And God will wipe away every tear

from their eyes.”

Young Texas Cousin’s Husband

My cousin’s husband served at the border for eight days and came home yesterday with various problems that led to medical tests and an overnight stay in the hospital.  Let’s pray his problem is easily corrected.

” By our house, there was lots of shooting at night and tanks and helicopters nearby. We didn’t have a place to hide so we just hid on the floor in my mom’s room by the bed. My mom would lay on the floor with us and read to us from the Bible and then we didn’t feel so scared because different stories in the Bible show how Jesus can protect us and if we are hurt He can heal us. But I kept wondering why everyone in the world didn’t care about us or what happened to us. When we got these gifts, I was so happy because I got many nice things. My mom said it showed that people in the world care about us and are thinking of us. And also Jesus cares about us all the time and wants us to be happy and feel safe wherever we are.”                                                                   – OCC shoebox recipient~

Saturday

 Look at the birds of the air;

they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,

and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Are you not much more valuable than they?

Who of you by worrying

can add a single hour to his life

~Matthew 6:26-27~

It is causing erratic blood pressure and swelling in her legs and feet. We are believing for complete healing and that they are benign. Satan tried to bring fear and today we stopped that as we gathered in prayer. Please stand in agreement with us. Thank you!”

Update on Ken Roberts

From Cyndi — Surgery Update

We are just in awe of the bridges Ken continues to cross! Our prayers continue to be answered. For the most part, surgery was consider a SUCCESS!! Thank you Jesus! God hears our cries!!!! They found one negative finding that could have been tragic but it has been addressed. In fact, they are amazed by several aspects of his case that his lead cardiologist plans to write it up/complete a case study! All of the staff continues to amaze us with their professionalism & expertise! For just out of major surgery, he is obviously back on maximum life support with more tubes, machines, drips than you can possibly imagine. The next 24-48 hours are especially critical. So now….we wait. Ken once again must step up his game and fight the fight!

Last night, we joked about the fact he may have to wear some green after all is said & done. I can tell you now… We all may have shifted our support….Geaux Tulane! 😉

On a serious note, words simply cannot express how thankful we are, and, in some ways, relieved this major surgery is behind him. We appreciate, as always, the love, support, and prayers. We will try to update daily.

Thursday

“The LORD has heard my plea for help;

the LORD accepts my prayer.”

~Psalm 6:9, HCSB~

God loves to hear from us, but He always makes the final decision.

Kent Roberts!

My heart races, my mind full… Please please keep my brother Ken in your thoughts & prayers. Tomorrow is a huge day for him with another open-heart surgery. He is fighting so hard. I can’t get him off my mind as I wonder what he must fear & anticipate in the coming hours, days, & weeks! I will tell you that we laughed plenty & made light of his situation as we joked about his new 6 cylinder heart replacement & assured him the Gap Bands, “burn rubber on me” would be playing in the OR! Serious though, please lift him up…What he needs only God can provide!                                                 ~ Ken’s sister, Cyndi~

Last night, Bubba Roberts was talking about going to see Ken last Saturday.  We had not realized Ken and Bubba are cousins.

Pray as often as you think of Ken and his family today.

Flo Hatcher (Written by daughter, Julee)
Prayers for my mommy please… She starts radiation on several tumors in her body tomorrow and a new cancer drug, along with the physical therapy she has to do to learn to use her leg with a steel rod in it from hip to knee. Her body is very busy trying to kill cancer and heal.

We were blessed to be part of a team that visited with Mrs. Susie Wales (and Chris and Kathy Wales) last night.  During the time we were there she prayed including thanking God her 95th birthday fell on the night of our visitation.  Her love for others and the Lord is just as steadfast as it always was.  I wish all of you would have fit into her home last night so you could have be blessed as we were.
