Wednesday

“But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,

And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

~Proverbs 1:33, NKJV~

Kerry Ebarb Family

Yesterday afternoon’s bad  weather caused a tree to fall on a house on Ave. H, next to Mrs. Mary Ann Cutrer.  The house seems to be a loss, but thankfully the family is okay.  Four month old twins were checked out at the hospital, but their injuries were only minor.  A two year old was uninjured.  I’m not sure where the family is now, but from the news releases I have read and reports of a neighbor, they lost most of their belongings.  I’ll try to get some more information for you in case you would like to help them in any way.  After seeing the pictures of the home, I know we need to thank God the family is okay.

Vacation Bible Schools in our area are going strong.  If you have children or grandchildren who are not attending one, check them out.  It seems the churches have found additional curriculums this year and are not overlapping as much as in previous years.

Ladies’s Night: Purses

The ladies decorating and preparing food would greatly appreciate it if you would call the church office, 229-8111, to get your name on the list of those attending.  It is not absolutely necessary, but certainly would be helpful.  The event will begin at 6:15 tomorrow in the fellowship hall of FBC,K.

Thanks for reading and praying today.  Your prayers mean so much to so many. Anna Lee

Be strong and of a good courage,

fear not, nor be afraid of them:

for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee;

he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

~Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV)~

(I don’t know why I was drawn to this verse today,

but it surely was “just the one” some of us needed to focus on today.)

Macy Gueldner – As you pray for those at the hospital, pray also for those back in our area who cannot be there for Macy, her sister, and her mother.

If you have not purchased your jars of jelly or jam for God’s Storehouse, this might be a good day to do so.  Drop them in the area by the stairway for the FBC, Kentwood stairway.  A label will be applied before delivery.  It will provide a wonderful message, John 4:16.

Let your “little light” shine for Jesus today.

May you meet the one who provides that peace if you do not already know Him!
