WMU Meeting
We had a great group of ladies and lots of food for out meeting at Hillsdale this morning.  I am very biased, but must not fail to say the speaker was one of the best we had heard.  If you missed today, I surely hope you will join us next time.

6 Do not be anxious about anything,

but in everything,

by prayer and petition,

with thanksgiving,

present your requests to God.

7 And the peace of God,

“The thought of my pain,

my homelessness,

is bitter poison.

I think of it constantly,

and my spirit is depressed.

Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing:

The Lord’s unfailing love and mercy still continue,

fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise.

The Lord is all I have, and so in him I put my hope.”

  • 17 hours ago                                                                                                                                               We’re waiting on counts, and hoping that they are better than last week, so we can resume chemo (and enjoy our camping trip with family.)
  • 12 hours ago                                                                                                                                                      We didn’t have a very good day at clinic. Macy’s counts have dropped even lower, and now she’s neutropenic. This comes with all the precautions: mask, food prep, isolation, etc…She also had some mind boggling lab results. They have been checking the level of her nighttime chemo in her blood over the last month. Apparently the results don’t make since (one part is way too high and one is way too low.) BR called Memphis, and they are even stumped. So they gave us a plan, which is to continue chemo as planned, even though her counts are almost bottomed out. This makes everyone nervous, so we’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on her this week.

In addition to all of this, Macy had some major port issues that caused a good bit of pain. Thank God for her wonderful nurses who eventually saved the day.

We’re still going camping, but Macy will have to miss playing in the lake and splash pad. No germs! No germs! No germs. Maybe if I say it enough it’ll happen.

Carol Jean Conerly

Pray for Carol Jean and her family as she has knee surgery today.

because when he has stood the test,

he will receive the crown of life

that God has promised to those who love him.

From Brock Burch’s missionary trip to Barrelras,  Brazil

Hey everyone I guess I will give an update. We are having a great time in Brazil! God is moving in a mighty way. And the food has been great! The people here are so loving and take care of us. There have been 10 people saved. We have a great team that truly love the Lord. It is just awesome to see God work. I ask for your continued prayers as we pray for God to use us for His glory!

Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth. Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. (Psalms 100:1-5 NASB)

Update on Dan Turner (by Ladd Turner)

Good evening all of you “Dan the Man” fan club members!! All baseline assessments prior to tomorrow’s trial are done and all lab work looks great. Dan said he’s “chillin” in his gown and track pants, watching TV while giving the nurses a hard time 😜. I will post more information tomorrow as it becomes available. Thank you all for your continued prayers! Please keep it up! To God be the glory!

Bro. Michael and Brandy Wilson’s unborn baby did not have a heartbeat yesterday morning, so she was admitted to the hospital for delivery last night.  Please pray for the entire family at this time.

This morning someone reminded me that all the school supplies are on sale this time of year.  I knew that and planned to give you the opportunity to purchase some, either individually or as a group/class, for the shoeboxes we are packing.  Remember how much fun it is to buy school supplies.  I think you will find it even more fun to do so for the children who will receive shoesboxes through Operation Christmas Child.  If you did not look at the video about Devin at the top of this page, now would be the perfect time to do so.  Thank-you to those of you who have faithfully purchased items each month.

Macy Gueldner, Mary Catherine Gueldner. & Martha P. Drago

Macy’s counts are very low, during a week where they should’ve doubled. I guess the increase in chemo finally caught up to her. So, her chemo this week is on hold. They’ll check again next week, and hopefully she can get back on track. She’s in good spirits; she just doesn’t have much immunity. So we’re hoping to stay germ free.As for me (Mary Catherine, Macy’s mom), my doctor ordered an MRI of my entire spine. He’s afraid I have ruptured a disc underneath my fusion. He said, “You are a tiny person, and Macy is not so tiny.” We’re both hoping that my lower back problem is just temporary. We’ll see…I have some good news: my mother in law (Martha) has only 4 radiation treatments before the end of her cancer journey 🙂
