Steve Hatchel

This is an update from Ana Hatchel, Steve and Ginger’s daughter-in-law. Ginger asked that I send out an update twice a week. So I will try and be failthful to do that. She is missing a lot of calls and feels bad that she can’t update everyone individually. You can call me or Aaron if you miss them and need to talk to them. I will include our email and phone numbers at the end of this email. Ginger is so appreciative of all your help and prayers! This would be even more difficult without your support.

Steve has had his first radiation treatment this morning and has started taking the chemotherapy medication today. He will have radiation every day (mon-fri) for 7 weeks and will take the chemotherapy medication every day while be radiated. After that he will take the chemotherapy medication 5 days every month and will do follow up MRI’s every three months.

Steve had some nausea this afternoon after taking the chemotherapy medication, but it quickly improved after taking the nausea medication. Steve will contine physical therapy at home and is now using the walker for short distances, although he tires easily.

Boyd will be flying in this Thursday and will be here through the weekend. Please continue to pray for the following:

*Rest for Steve and Ginger

*Complete healing and treatment effectiveness

*Safe travel for Boyd

*That they will be able to find the right resources to help them

Sherman Cutrer, Sr.

Sherman got off the vent and is thankful.  He is still in surgical ICU and will have to be in a regular room and walking steadily before he can come home in a few days.

Parable of the Fig Tree

Mark 13:28–31Luke 21:29–33

32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that 5it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Mark 13:32–37Luke 21:34–36

36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of 6heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what 7hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what 8hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Jesus Heals a Sick Woman – Mark 5: 21-34

21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered round him while he was by the lake. 22 Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. 23 He pleaded earnestly with him, ‘My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.’ 24 So Jesus went with him.

A large crowd followed and pressed round him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, ‘If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.’ 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned round in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched my clothes?’

31 ‘You see the people crowding against you,’ his disciples answered, ‘and yet you can ask, “Who touched me?”’

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.’
