“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.” ~Matthew 28:19a, NASB~

Mr. Bobby Simpson

Mr. Bobby’s office surgery/procedure went well.  Let’s pray for a good report, one that doesn’t lead to another procedure.

Mike Neyland

Mike is having some issues with one of his eyes.  Pray for a good outcome.

Caroline Cutrer

Caroline had her chemo port removed.  The doctor thinks the three year treatment was successful and is now completed.  Thank you to God for bringing this family through three years of successful treatment.  It’s time to fully resume a normal family life.

Schneeweiss Family

The Schneeweiss family was blessed with a baby boy, Talon.  Both mother and baby are doing well.  Parents are Justin and Sarah Newman Schneeweiss.  Big sister is Tenley.

The eagle has landed in Kentwood.

The Hatchels arrived yesterday evening for a visit!  We are happy, happy, happy!

Operation Christmas Child

  • My name is Sawadogo and I am in the 6th grade in a village in Burkina Faso. I want to say thank you very much for this gift box. I received things in the gift that I have never seen before in my life! I got toothpaste, toothbrush, pencils, pens, and many other things. Thank you OCC and thank you to the person who sent me this box. Because of the gift, I have started to go to church!
  • “Bags and bags of flip-flops for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes on sale at KMart this week for 2/$1.00.” – Kathy S.
  •  In 2001, OCC visited a hospital in Moldova to deliver shoebox gifts. What a blessing to see the smiles each gift brought to the children who were patients there!
  • In a village in Albania, a little boy, after going through The Greatest Journey, ran home and asked his parents to read the lessons for him. His father gathered together the whole family, so that each of them would listen to what he was going to read. God can use even a short Bible lesson and a young boy to make Himself known among lost people!
  • “We have such fun buying things for our boxes! I have my Grands pick out two T-shirts and then I take a photo of them in their shirt to include in the box to the child. We always write a letter. It is so great for the giving end as well as for the recipient.” – Nancy H

Mr. Steve Hatchel (written by a daughter-in-law, Ana)

Thankfully, the white blood count remains excellent.  He didn’t lose any weight this week and remains stronger than expected.  He has had 3 1/2 weeks of radiation instead of 5 because of equipment problems.  After 6 1/2 weeks he will be re-evaluated.  I think he has has the chemo treatments as planned though.

“The doctor commented this week on how strong Steve is and he recognized Steve’s character! He saw Steve the way we do!!”

Mr. Steve and “Miss” Ginger enjoyed having Boyd and his family visit.  (They will be traveling to Kentwood today.  These grandparents are excited.)

Please continue to pray for all the Hatchels.

Kerry Ebarb Family

Yesterday afternoon’s bad  weather caused a tree to fall on a house on Ave. H, next to Mrs. Mary Ann Cutrer.  The house seems to be a loss, but thankfully the family is okay.  Four month old twins were checked out at the hospital, but their injuries were only minor.  A two year old was uninjured.  I’m not sure where the family is now, but from the news releases I have read and reports of a neighbor, they lost most of their belongings.  I’ll try to get some more information for you in case you would like to help them in any way.  After seeing the pictures of the home, I know we need to thank God the family is okay.
