Yes, I’m late with The Prayer Link.  About this time yesterday, my internet went out.  Today, I learned too much pressure had built up.  I was able to fix it myself once I was given directions.  Who knew an internet line could build up too much pressure?!?!

The world is full of pressures/stress issues.  The simple fix is Jesus.  I hope you have that “fixed” in your life.  If not, I can guide you to the “instruction book”.

Fourth of July

I’m so proud to be an American,

even if we are not perfect people or a perfect country!

May we all learn to turn to God in everything!

You, my brothers, were called to be free.

But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature;

rather, serve one another in love.

The entire law is summed up in a single command:

“Love your neighbor as yourself.

~Galatians 5:13-14~

Jadon’s Journey

Jadon ended his therapy this week doing very well.  He can do so much more than expected.  Thank you, Jesus, for allowing us to be a witness to this little miracle.  “Righty” is doing better and better with therapy.  Those who work with Jadon have been so helpful!

Frank Lea

Mr. Frank is in North Oaks again.  Please pray for him and for his family.

Ana, Mr. Steve’s daughter-in-law, sent another update.  Mr. Steve continues to work hard to receive the treatment prescribed for him.  He has no sense of taste and has lost his ability to taste food, thus, losing more weight.  His voice is also weak.  Pray for him as he approaches new testing and an evaluation of his current situation.

  • “My name is Samia and I am from Bangladesh. Our economic condition is very poor, so my parents cannot afford to buy toys for me. When I heard that I would get a gift box, I was so excited! I could not sleep at night because the excitement to receive the gift box kept me up. Finally my dreams came true and I got my gift. It was a great day for me, and I was so happy! I have lots of toys now that I couldn’t have before. Thank you to all of my foreign friends who sent me the toys and other amazing things!” – Samia, shoebox recipient

Devotional, Scripture, and a Song

My daughter’s family is not often in patriotic services at church because of where they live.  The grandchildren asked if we did the pledge, saw videos about our country, recognized those who served in the military, and sang patriotic much every week.  They were impressed!

I’m thankful to be an American and a Christian.  Both of those things are the way they are partly because of the place of my birth and the family I was born into.  I have been so blessed!  I wish everyone could feel that way.

Kerry Ebarb Family

Yesterday afternoon’s bad  weather caused a tree to fall on a house on Ave. H, next to Mrs. Mary Ann Cutrer.  The house seems to be a loss, but thankfully the family is okay.  Four month old twins were checked out at the hospital, but their injuries were only minor.  A two year old was uninjured.  I’m not sure where the family is now, but from the news releases I have read and reports of a neighbor, they lost most of their belongings.  I’ll try to get some more information for you in case you would like to help them in any way.  After seeing the pictures of the home, I know we need to thank God the family is okay.
