A resident of Kentwood, she died at 4:35 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at St. Helena Parish Nursing Home in Greensburg. She was born November 9, 1929 in Kentwood and was 82 years of age. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Catherine Morris and her husband, Johnny, Kentwood and Jacquie Baham and her husband, Steve, Ponchatoula; 1 grandson, Timothy Wagner and his wife, Antonia, Ponchatoula. Preceded in death by parents, Ivy and Pearl Belanger. Graveside Services will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Kentwood, at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012. Services conducted by Dr. Danny Smith. Fredrick Leroy Wilkinson, Sr.
(February 13, 1926 – August 2, 2012)

II Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith.”

Fredrick Leroy Wilkinson, Sr. was born February 13, 1926 and passed away at 6:40 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 86, a native of McComb, MS and a resident of Amite, LA

Mr. Leroy was a US Marine Veteran of WWII who fought in the South Pacific Marine Squadron VMF 215. He was a 3rd generation Blacksmith of Claude Wilkinson & Son until his retirement in 2000 after 55 years.

Mr. Leroy is survived by 2 daughters, Faye Wilkinson Singleton and husband Wayne and Margie Wilkinson Cutrer; 3 sons, Claude William Wilkinson and wife Minnie, Fredrick Leroy, Jr. and wife Debbie and Michael Wayne and wife Chris; sister, Catherine Wilkinson Harrell;; 9 grandchildren, Brandon Lee Wilkinson and wife Alicia, Emily Wilkinson Dawson and husband, Steve, Kevin Wilkinson, Dustin Wilkinson, Jacob Wilkinson and wife Hannah, Jordan Wilkinson, Forrest Wilkinson, Evan Wilkinson and Haley Wilkinson; 6 great-children, Brittany Elizabeth Prevost, Brennen Gabriel Wilkinson, Ashlyn Margaret Wilkinson, McKay Wilkinson, Emma Dawson & Kenlea Blaise Wilkinson; special friend and companion, Zillah GeLaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ellen Bailey Wilkinson; 2 sisters, Marquerite Wilkinson Travis Vernon and Helen Wilkinson; brother Willie Wilkinson.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation at McKneely and Vaughn Funeral Home, Amite, on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm. and on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until Celebration of Life Services at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel with Rev. A devoted husband, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at his home in East Fork. He was born January 29, 1929 in East Fork and was 83 years of age. Mr. Dykes was a U. S. Army veteran of Korea and a faithful member of East Fork Baptist Church. He is survived by wife, Ouida Parker Dykes, 2 daughters, Charlotte Alford and her husband, Tim, and Mindy King, son, Charles N. She passed from this life on July 26, 2012 while residing at Hilltop Village Nursing Home in Kerrville, TX. She was born November 29, 1939 in Roseland and was 72 years of age. She retired as an accounting manager with GMAC; was very active in helping others in any way she could, especially with her tremendous talent of cooking; and departed from this life with a great love for the Lord. She is survived by her 3 sons, Kenneth L. Felps and wife, Stephanie Rovira Felps, Livingston, Keith K. Felps and wife, Mary Lee Felps, Kerrville, TX and Wendell W. Felps, Kerrville, TX; 6 grandchildren, Emily, Madeline, Sarah, Anthony, Miriam, and Abigail Felps. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. “Kenny” Browning; parents, Floville “Bill” and Ruby Elizabeth Spring; brother, Chester E. Spring. Woodrow Wilson Pevey, Jr. was born September 6, 1948 and went to be with the Lord at 9:59 a.m., Tuesday,, July 24, 2012 in Watson, LA. Mr. Wilson was 63, a native and a resident of Pine Grove, LA.

He was US Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of The Victory Temple of Greensburg, Greensburg, LA.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Annie Jean McElveen Pevey; a son, Anthony Wilson Pevey and wife Beth Hoyt Pevey; a daughter, Mandy Pevey Claxton and husband Simon; 3 granddaughters, Payton Elyse Pevey, Payge Elizabeth Pevey and Presley Toni Pevey; a grandson, Brett Curtis Claxton; a sister, Sue Pevey Jones and husband Bobby; a brother, Hulon D. Pevey and wife Tammy; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow “Fox” and Billie June McCoy Pevey.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
