Jacqueline Juanita Hord Fulda
(October 24, 1933 – February 28, 2013)

Jacqueline Juanita Hord Fulda was born October 24, 1933 in Kings Mountain, North Carolina and passed away peacefully February 28, 2013 after a brief illness. Jackie was a resident of Amite, Louisiana and member of Amite Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Amite High School 1952 where she met her husband, Charles “Pete” Fulda III and was a member of the cheerleading squad and basketball team. She also graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern State University and went on to obtain her Nursing Home Administrators License. Mrs. Fulda is survived by her son, Charles Julius Fulda IV, and daughter, Cindy Green. Two grandchildren, Sean Wayne Green and Dustin Layne Green; one brother, Richard Patrick Hord; son-in-law, Wayne Louis Green and daughter-in-law, Karen Crosby along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard W. Hord and Carrie Bobbitt; her husband, Charles “Pete” Julius Fulda III; one son, Jonathan Layne Fulda. Mrs. Fulda was stationed with her husband throughout the world during his distinguished military career. After his retirement from the military they continued to work and live in various places throughout the United States. Her last career move was to come home to Amite with Pete. She wanted to be near her family and friends she had grown up with and enjoyed such fond memories of. She became the Nursing Home Administrator at the Amite Nursing Home and worked there until her retirement. She enjoyed life, family and her church. She will be missed by all that knew her. Then you will also be where I am.” Harrell, Kenneth Ray, 83, died on Saturday, February 23, 2013. He was a resident of Zachary and native of Greensburg. He retired from Florida Gas. Visiting will be at First Baptist Church of Zachary on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting will continue on Tuesday at the church from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges. Burial will be in Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Brice Harrell, Daughters, Jan Chandler and husband Gary, Donna Efferson and husband Denny and Teri Cunningham and husband Mark and one son, Tommy Harrell and wife Debbie all of Zachary, One sister, Helen Newson and a brother in law and sister in law, Thurston and Jimmie Brice. He is also survived by his grandchildren, James, Jeff and Dune Chandler, Shannon Boone, Chris and Josh Harrell, Courtney Treloar, Abby and Paige Efferson and Carli and Mac Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Harrell and brothers, Joe and Marshall Harrell. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. He was a Deacon Emeritus of First Baptist Church of Zachary, instrumental in starting the Men’s Prayer Breakfast of Zachary. He loved his beagals and rabbit hunting. Pray for Rusty as he is in ICU and on a ventilator.  He has a severe UTI,  pneumonia, strep throat, and  mononucleosis.

Continue to pray for Reesa Birch DeLee.  I heard her mother give an update on her yesterday.  Reesa and her family need our prayers to help them get through each day.  Pray they see that God is their source of comfort through this ordeal.

Frances Gay is still suffering with shingles.  Pray this problem will be cleared up soon.

Jim Walley is still recovering from his surgery and wanting to do too much.  Pray for him and his caregivers.
