Please say a prayer that our dad can begin to get the nutrition he needs to strengthen his body to be able to take his chemo treatments. The feeding through the JPEG tube has proven to be a real challenge for him. On a thankful note, we have some great professionals working with him to get him where he needs to be. Thank you Michael Davis, RN and Ray Glasgow and staff for your efforts to get us where we need to be.

Oneida’s son Willey and his wife Eudora are here to visit for the weekend. Please pray for traveling grace for them as they begin their journey home on Sunday.

Thank you each and everyone.

Melissa Johnson got a good repost yesterday.  Her arms are now strong enough for her to begin driving again.  This is a major milestone for her.  Thank God for the progress He has allowed in her recovery.

Tangipahoa Baptist Church has had VBS all week.  Bro. Greg challenged the children to bring $1,500 for the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.  The did, so he had to eat night crawlers.  I watched the video.  After the third worm, he took a big swig of Tobasco Sauce.  He certainly kept his end of the deal.  Also, the children collected materials and packed health kits to be given away through Re-Store in Amite.  Thank God for the children who participated in these two projects this week.  May God richly bless each of you.

Adeline and I are sorting out the fabric we picked up yesterday in the drop boxes. To all the donors, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We were just saying how much the kids will love all the gowns. While we were at Children’s Hospital I was told that there are lots of time that some of the kids need socks and underwear (all sizes for both) while they are there. Also tooth brush, tooth paste and deodorant and combs or hair brushes. Like personal items that they maybe forgot or due to them being transport by ambulance in an emergency. Ms. Erma said she needs some of these thing on 4 west on a regular basis . We went shop for a few thing to bring back when we go this coming week. Socks at the Dollar Tree were 3 cute socks( heart, zebra, peace sign etc.) for $1.00 and tooth brushes. We found color books at Dollar general for .30 and some for .70. on the clearance table. Addy and I had fun shopping for the kids, Addy said mawmaw the kids will love all this stuff. If anyone wants to send some of these items let me know and we will deliver it to the cancer floor at Childrens when we go!! Share!!

Please keep Dad at the top of the prayer list. We see his oncologist tomorrow and are really not certain of the report we will get. Prayers always work and noq more that ever we are requesting our prayer warriors to shine. Please pray for Daddys comfort. Let your prayer request simply ask for God’s will to be done. There is not another man that has been faithful to the call of Jesus Christ. I believe in miracles and I hope we receive one. Thank you for your support and all that you do. If I do not message you, I hope that you will remember to keep his name foremost in our daily prayer request. He needs all we can get….

Well we didn’t get to go home today… Fingers crossed for tomorrow. Good news is that he had a spinal treatment done today and no sickness!! AMEN.

Amber Prine Ragan ( (From her mother, Kathy)

I would like to start this post off by wishing our hero, Amber, a Happy Birthday today! We were able to spend the last two days together in Houston along with my grand-daughter, Ashlynn. We had a great trip along with a good report from MD Anderson. Everything seems to be moving along nicely. Her blood counts were good and she can now start seeing her new oncologist in Baton Rouge for her chemo management. She will need to return back to MDA for follow-ups, but not every month. This is what we were hoping to hear . She did not have an MRI this trip. They will start doing MRIs every two months.
Today Amber will celebrate her birthday. This past year has been a tough one, but we are so blessed to be where we are today. I continue to be amazed with her strength and positive attitude. For those of you that know Amber personally, know that she is a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend to all. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she begins her third round of chemo tomorrow.
Happy Birthday, Amber, I hope you have a wonderful day!
Love to all,
