are walking in the truth.

The Children in Action who attended M-Jam in New Orleans represented FBC, Kentwood well.  It was a good mission experience.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering – KAIROS MOMENTS AT THE RESONATE CHURCH – https://www.anniearmstrong.com/mission-central/kairos-moments-at-the-resonate-church-in-washington-namb

A psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.                                                                                                  ~Psalm 23:1-3 (NIV)~

“He Leadeth Me”

Get prepared for tomorrow, the Lord’s Day.

Friday

Blessed is the one

who does not walk in step with the wicked

or stand in the way that sinners take

or sit in the company of mockers.

Roberts Wilson is improving from pneumonia.  Keep him in your prayers.

Krista Easley, daughter-in-law of Donnie and Teri Easley, apparently had a stroke yesterday.  The family requests prayer for this young woman.

Please continue to pray for Linda K. Graves.  She is not sitting around since she moved from Kentwood, but using her wonderful voice to bless others in her new church and back in Kentwood.  One of her songs last night was “Beulah Land”.  I’m so glad she continues to use her talent for the Lord.

Thanks to those all those who came to the cabin last night.  We are so blessed to have this special time at the cabin.

Join us for Bible study this morning at 10:00.  We will be studying Ezekiel 1.

If you have PAPERBACK Bibles to share with prisoners at the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, please bring them to the church in the next few days.  Delivery will be made Thursday.  The Bibles can be new or used.

I’m excited about M-Jam for the children who attend missions class.  This will be their first opportunity to go to a state meeting like this.  Please pray for those who will be going to learn more about missions and to have their hearts encouraged to be a part of mission work at their young age.

     “Praise the LORD!….Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!

Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for He commanded and they were created….

Fire and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling His word;

mountains and all hills; fruitful trees and all cedars; beasts and all cattle;

creeping things and flying fowl….

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted;

His glory is above the earth and heaven.”

Pray for a smooth adjustment to their new cultures, and ask that they will quickly form relationships with the Deaf people they meet. As they begin to learn the local sign language (yes, sign language is different around the world!), ask the Father to give them opportunities to share His stories with others. Pray that they will be patient with themselves and others as they persevere, trusting the Father to meet their needs. Pray that their lives will reflect the joy and peace found only in Jesus and that they will honor Him in every situation.  (IMB)

and teaches them his way.

Ora Lee Wilson‘s pacemaker surgery went better than expected.  She’s home!  Let’s thank God for her good report.

Mildred Birch has improved greatly in recovering from her pain pump.  That’s another thanksgiving prayer for us today.

David‘s retina specialist was pleased with David’s progress in maintaining a good eye pressure and good vision.  Thank-you for all your prayers.

Early yesterday morning, I had my own ER visit.  The short version is that after all the testing, I was told I had a strained muscle in my arm.  That is much better than I expected to hear.  I’m wearing my ugly black sling again and am so thankful my problem is minor.

Ora Lee Wilson will be having her pacemaker replaced Monday.  Pray for her as she waits for Monday to arrive.

Rev. Gibby McMillian asked me to inform you of a gospel singing by the Jubalheirs at Livingston Baptist Church a week from tonight.  You can check the church’s website for more information.

Bible Reading – Deut. 21-23 and Psm. 60.  If you get behind a day or two or more, just double us and soon you’ll be back on schedule.  It doesn’t matter what day you read the Scriptures, just read them.

Sunday will be the first day of the Annie Armstrong Week of Prayer for North American Missions.  Please pray and give so that work can continue to be done in Canada and the United States.  We have many people who need to know the Lord.

If you have not already done so, please look around your home for PAPERBACK Bibles that are not being used.  They could be very helpful in the ministry to the inmates at the Tangipahoa Parish Jail.  Boxes are under the office and balcony stairwells for you to leave your PAPERBACK Bibles at your convenience.  We appreciate members of other churches who help with the needs for the jail ministry.

Whom have I in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

My flesh and my heart may fail,
