Camille Elizabeth Sealey

Another of you young friends became a daddy for the first  time yesterday.  Camille was born to Mr. and Mrs. Austin Sealey.  She is the great granddaughter of the late Elizabeth Bennett of Roseland.  Camille weighted in at 8 lb. 2 oz. and was 21 in. long.

Mrs. Betty Catherine Hatcher

“Miss’ Betty Catherine’s surgery went well.  The doctors think she will have less pain, which was their objective.  After a few days in Ochsner, she will go to rehab.

“Miss” Evelyn is in North Oaks and will soon be moving to rehab.  She is battling weakness and lack of balance.

Mrs. Nyra Rigby

Karen Miller’s mother will be having surgery Monday at the University of Alabama Medical Center.  Pray for good results from the surgery.  Pray for Karen as she lives and works in LA with her mother living in AL.

Renee Deck Terrell

Pray for Renee as she recovers from a fall.

Gail Brister

Pray for Gail as she continues to hurt in her left wrist.  He right one is doing okay.

Continue to remember Gail in your prayers.  It’s not easy to go through daily life with two broken arms, especially when one was not set in a timely manner.  Looking ahead to the possibility of surgery and recovery time now, is discouraging.

Andy is still feeling “under the weather”.  Betty is pretty well housebound with him.  Pray they continue to recover – according to Gods timing.  They may be absent from their church routine, but they are still in our hearts!

Susan is doing much better with her kidney stone issue, but got tripped by her dog injuring her ankle and knee.  Pray this will not be a major setback for her.

Buddy Morris

Buddy and Eleanor are glad to be home.  He feels okay, but is weak due to the length of time he was hospitalized.  Let’s continue to pray for his recovery.  May it be steady. even if it is slow.

We have had some beautiful days.  Join me in thanking God for them.  Even the tasks we don’t look forward to so much are better on days like yesterday.  I suppose He thinks we need a day inside today to complete some of our tasks there.  Whatever the weather, God has provided it for us.  Be thankful to be alive and able to work some each day.

Sharon Martin got a good report on her recent tests.  She will need to change her diet some and go back in six months.  Thank-you for praying for her.

Pray for this sweet lady as she prepares for back surgery on Wednesday at Ochsner, Jefferson.  Pray the surgery will be helpful to her mobility.

Mr. John’s surgery went well.  He had a blockage, but it wasn’t big enough for a stent.  Thank God for this good report.

Buddy Morris

Mr. Buddy has infection in the area of his lung, so he will be hospitalized longer.  Pray doctors can identify the problem and get it corrected.  Pray he is well enough to come home with the family Friday.

Nyra Rigby

James Rimes said Karen Miller’s surgery will be Tuesday.  Pray for “Miss” Nyra and for her family as well as the medical staff of UA that they will know and do their best with her care.

Bonanza Bible Study

God led me to these wonderful Bible studies at the missions office in Franklinton.  I hope they are as meaningful to others as they are to me.  We meet again tomorrow morning in the fellowship hall of FBC,K at 10:00.  This is open to anyone who wishes to be blessed along with us.

I pray for comfort, peace, and patience for many of you.  I know these are all available through Jesus.  Let’s turn to Him daily to help us.

BCM lunch at SLU

Thanks to all who prepared or purchased food for the meal.  We hit the  “nail on the head” with our slight changes in the menu.  We had big smiles and compliments from almost every student.  Thanks to the Sunday School classes that participated and to James Rimes, Eleanor Morris, Smiley and Carol Jean Conerly, and David and Anna Lee for servant-like attitudes in transporting, preparing, serving, and cleaning up..  Special, special thanks to Marty and Gretchen Simpson for their skills and work in preparing the jambalaya.  Thanks too, to Bro. Michael, Brandi, and Paxton for traveling down so Bro. Michael could speak to the BCM students.  We’ll do this again next year and look forward to doing so.

Looking Ahead

The annual “spring forward” time change is coming in two weeks.  Mark you calendar now so you will be prepared for the change on March 9th.
