Annette did not get to go to her local “home” in Line Creek today.  Tomorrow, is another day.  Pray that when she is released she will be well and not have problems that will send her back to the hospital.  Thank God for the medical staff who have taken good care of her.

The baby has almost mastered swallowing.  He should be able to go home soon.  Thank God for his progress and for medical staff that kept him until he could drink enough milk.

 New Sign at Tangipahoa Baptist Church

Yesterday, from a distance as we approached the TBC, I noticed a new sign by the church.  It is similar to the one at KHS.  I smiled when I read the welcome message there and hope the church will be able to use it to encourage, comfort, inform, and invite others to join their fellowship.

Vacation Bible Schools

There is excitement in the air as area churches prepare for their summer VBSs.  I will post a list of the dates later.  If you want to give me the dates for VBS at your church, please send me a message.

Young at Heart

Senior adults from the area are invited to NZBC Tuesday at 10:30.  James Rimes will provide the program which will be followed by a potluck meal.

Third Thursday

We will have our monthly meeting at the cabin Thursday at 6:30.  Come enjoy and be blessed by some good Christian fellowship, a potluck meal, and a short program.

“Young” Ladies’ Birthday Party

The “young” ladies who have April birthdays at FBC, Kentwood will be honored Tuesday, April 22nd at 11:00 at The Cafe on highway 51 in Kentwood.

Ladies’ Night: Chocolate and Friends

Plan to attend this special night at FBC, Kentwood on April 24th.  Chocolate goodies and a few other treats will be served at 6:15 with the program to follow at 6:30.  There is no ticket to purchase, but a call to the church office at 229-8111 would be greatly appreciated so we can have a headcount for preparations.  You are welcome to bring other ladies and girls with you, just be sure they are counted.  We would like the count by the 20th.  Thanks for helping in this way.

Please pray for Mrs. Annie Bell Harrell and her family.  

Pray for Karen Miller’s family as her mother begins her first cancer treatment Wednesday.  Pray she has regained enough strength from her recent surgery to do well with the treatment.  Pray for Karen who is spending this time with her mother.

Margie Williams had to take her daughter, Annette, to the hospital in McComb.  She was admitted, but her problem is not fully diagnosed at this time.  I know they will appreciate your prayers.

Please continue to pray for Mr. Al Trecost and Mr. Lynwood Browning, both of whom are hospitalized at North Oaks.

Also, add Jean (Mrs. Joe) Easley to your prayer list.  She’s having surgery today.

The pathology report was good today.  The cancer is a type that responds to treatment better than the one in the original diagnosis.  Also, it is listed as stage three, now, not stage four.  Continue to pray for the whole family.

Sheila had surgery today at M.D. Anderson.  She and Rex are very pleased with their treatment there and the reports they have received.   Rex is Larissa’s cousin.

Donnie is recovering from heart surgery.  Delores fell from a ladder and broke a leg.  She is in North Oaks for surgery and a pin(s).  Please pray for this couple.

Yvonne’s foot is better, so the boot was removed from her foot.  Pray she can stay healthy.

Johnnie “Lil Man” Santangello

“Lil Man” is recovering nicely from his brain surgery – talking, laughing, eating, etc.  His latest MRI shows no tumor in his brain, but he will need additional treatment (radiation and chemo) because of the likelihood the tumor will return.  Pray for the family’s strength and endurance for the “long haul”.  The family is thankful to God and to all the people who have provided encouragement.

“Miss” Evelyn is home.  Pray for her safety from falls as she moves around.  Be an encourager to her.

Pine Ridge Methodist Church’s Monthly Breakfast

Sunday morning at 8:00 A.M. Pine Ridge will host their monthly breakfast benefit to help encourage a family.  This month, the donations will be for Shay Collette.  The menu is varied and all of it is good.  Come enjoy their breakfast buffet and some sweet company.

It’s been a big week for the virus going around.  I’ll not list everyone who has been sick, but it seems like a learn of a couple more people every day.  Take care.

J. C.’s brother continues to have problems with his heart, so Monday he will have a stent put in a heart vessel.  Let’s pray this will give him improved health.  The Surgery will be at OLOL in Baton Rouge.

Donnie Travis of Arcola will be hospitalized at North Oaks so he can have two by-passes in his heart Monday.  Let’s pray the doctors can again patch him up and keep him going.
