Obituaries

There are no new obituaries listed this morning on the McKneeley site, but this one was shared by Pam Newman of Kentwood.

Pamela Goings Newwman shared about her newphew.

Gregory Alden Langlois

12/10/68-02/12/26

As i post this-it’s with a heavy heart and much sadness. Our nephew left the cares of this world for his eternal home. He was a gifted, talented musician who took pride in teaching his students. Greg loved his family. He had a pleasant personality with a kind heart. His sense of humor was like none other. Although i will miss him terribly, I am so thankful for the many memories that I will hold dear in my heart. Until we meet again…GG. 💔🥲

I hope you don’t feel empty today or know someone who does, but I really think you are or know someone who does.

Missions

Sometimes we feel our younger days are gone and our activities are more limited If you feel this way, I want to suggest three ways you can be involved in 2026 no matter how old you are or how you feel physically limited:

  1. Pray for missions such as Operation Christmas Child. I try to keep you informed so you can easily figure out how to pray for OCC .
  2. Let me know when you have some available time to come to FBC, Kentwood during the week. I will let you watch, hear, and see what we are doing and why we are doing exactly what is happening. If you want to be “hands-0n”, welcome to the crew who have allowed God to place this ministry in their hearts.
  3. If helping is not possible, you can contribute funds so we can make purchases in person or online. This happened this week. Sunday, a lady in Sunday School, told about finding small (about 4-5 inches) stuffed animals selling for half price, ($.50), at Dollar General. David and I checked out another store in that chain and bought 19, all they had. I was talking with another lady from class. When we stopped by on our way home, she gave me money to shop for her. We will do that today and all week as we travel to the doctor, etc.

Why not run in a store or two and see if they have any on clearance there?

Psalm 96:1-3:

“Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” (ESV) Psalm 96:1-3

“Telling of His salvation happens over and over as we shop and pack shoe boxes and as the boxes are opened by children around the world. (I had a letter from Rev. Franklin Graham yesterday. He said over 2 million shoeboxes were turned in during November of 2025.) My goal is to help Samaritan’s Purse collect many more shoeboxes this year. You may be interested to know that most of those boxes were packed in America, where we have freedom to worship, to become missionaries, and where we can stay at home and minister to children by being a part of Operation Christmas Child. We (any church packing shoeboxes) would love to have your participation and financial support!

Have a wonderful day. Be sure to say “Jesus Loves You” to others.
