Today’s Verse

Prayer Focus

Today, let’s thank God for friendships. You may have many friends or just a few, those that are close and those not so close, friends of many years or friends you met in the last month, friends from school, friends from church, friends from our jobs. etc. Be thankful for the friendships God has allowed us to enjoy in our lives. Don’t casually toss them aside. Don’t miss out on them when you have regular or periodic opportunities to enjoy them.

Georgia Barnette Missions Offering

Week 1 – A Land of Spiritual Opportunity

While we celebrate our rich cultural heritage and unmatched hospitality, we recognize that many of our 4.6 million neighbors have yet to encounter the life-changing message of Jesus. Our state represents one of America’s most crucial mission fields.

Meeting Real Needs, Sharing Real Hope

The challenges facing our communities—poverty, addiction, broken families, disaster recovery, and spiritual emptiness—are opportunities to share the Gospel. Through the Georgia Barnette State Missions Offering, we equip Louisiana Baptists to meet practical needs while sharing eternal hope.

‘The Core Is Always the Core’

22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.

23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.

25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.

26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands
