OTHERS

Today, hopefully before the wind and rain, visit someone that is homebound or “shut-in”, the older term that means the same. Take a little of the “outside world” with you. It may be small casserole, a magazine, information about someone who have been hospitalized, a description of your last experience at church, a special dessert you prepared, news about mutual friends, a “sit-down” time of sharing, pictures of your grandchildren, update on the health of a mutual friend, a flower or plant, some fresh fruit, etc, What you take on your visit is not as important as the fact that you visit!

You can also spend some time with younger people. Attend a sporting event,or even a practice. Attend a birthday party or a shower for a new baby or soon to be new couple. Visit new neighbors and help them understand who to call on when they have problems or need to know where to shop, attend church. or seek medical attention.. Give them a list of emergency phone numbers. They will be appreciative.

A Day of Preparation

Today is the day we prepare our minds, hearts, food, and clothing for tomorrow, the Lord’s Day! Get started early and have time to also accomplish other things too.

Be a blessing to others. Have a blessed day.
