Prayer Focus for Today
Today, let’s prayer God gives us the opportunity to help others and we quickly reach out and take the opportunity. It might be paying for a meal, giving a ride, sending money for disaster relief, picking up mail or the daily newspaper, changing a light bulb, or some of many things we can do for others. Let’s pray for the opportunity and snatch up the opportunities in front of us to help someone today.
Have you invited someone to your church or Sunday School class lately? That is also a good opportunity we can take advantage of today.

Robert Michael Whitlock, Jr.
March 11, 1992 – October 26, 2024
.A resident of Kentwood, LA, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 11, 1992 in Marrero, LA and was 32 years of age. He is survived by his wife, Arizona Grice Whitlock; daughter, Ila Evelyn Whitlock; son, Robert Michael Whitlock, III; parents, Bonnie Hebert Whitlock and Robert Michael Whitlock, Sr; brother, Travis Keith Whitlock; father-in-law, Carl Grice and wife, Stephanie; mother-in-law, Allison Keating and husband, Timothy; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a niece, Maxine Howell; and his grandparents.
Carol Jean Conerly
Carol Jean has been sick a few days and passed away yesterday afternoon in Jackson, MS. Her obituary is not published yet. Please be in prayer for her family and friends. Thank God for her life, love of her family, and many friendships, especially those she had as she served the Lord at FBC, Kentwood. I will always remember how she faithfully addressed “newcomers” to church and invited them to join a Sunday School class and the laugher she shared in everyday life.
