FRIDAY

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Prayer Focus for Today

Today, I ask you to pray for those who do not attend church to be convicted to attend. May they soon find their church home. Jesus would love to live in their heart, but He must be invited in.

Obituary

Dianne Brown Creel

December 3, 1946 – October 23, 2024

Evelyn Dianne Brown Creel, went to meet her Lord on October 23, 2024. Born on December 3, 1946, she lived a life of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends. Dianne passed away in North Oaks Medical Center surrounded by her family.

She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always ready with open arms, a listening ear, and a very loud opinion. She cherished her role as “Nanny,” a title that brought her immense joy and defined her loving relationship with not only her grandchildren, but with so many others. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, like cooking pancakes for her grandkids, always ready with a warm washcloth to wipe their hands. Whether it was a cup of coffee, a mason jar of sweet tea, or chats on the porch swing, her house was a place where everyone felt like family and you never left empty handed. She was a bus driver for Tangipahoa Parish School System for 20+ years and attended Chesbrough Baptist Church faithfully.

Visitation will be Monday, October 28, at Chesbrough Baptist Church beginning at 9:00 A.M. and with religious services beginning at 12:00 P.M. Services will be conducted by Bro. Don McDaniel and Bro. Darryl Miller. Interment will follow services at Russelltown Cemetery.

She is survived by her three children, Dwaine Creel and wife Jana, Randy Creel and wife Lyne, Kim Smith and husband Darren; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Ronnie Brown, Connie Risen, and Debbie Brown; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Paul Creel; her parents, Edwin and Welma Brown; brother, Sidney Brown; sisters, Juanita Ballard and Vera Ridgedell.

Pallbearers are Bubba Creel, Doug Creel, Zack Smith, Chris Brown, Roger Ballard, and Micah Little. McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, in charge of arrangements. For an online guestbook, visit http://www.mckneelys.com.
