See You at the Pole
Last night the youth of our church and several other churches met in the sanctuary of our church to celebrate See You at the Pole. I attended prayer meeting in another part of the building and cannot tell you more.. As a former teacher, I can report I was present for these events in previous schools. For those of you who were not teachers, this is a student led prayer service. We can be proud of our students who attend and even lead these events.
I know the meetings held in churches would be different, but I have retired and no longer attend them. I suppose they possible are live mini youth revivals. I do know there was a large crowd of people present. Pray the event was meaningful to the youth and gave them boldness in speaking to other students about Jesus.
Prayer Meeting
This is my favorite church service. We are studying Luke verse by verse. Last night the message was entitled “Testimony” and told of “Legion” (Luke 8) who was healed and then told to tell others his testimony. What a testimony! We all have a testimony to share, but probably not as drastic of a change as this one. Our story is the one we can tell the best. Let’s be sure to be a witness by our actions and our words.
Bible Study
Group Bible study is always good because of the differences of knowledge of the participants. Some people have questions because they are learning. Others are able to answer the questions because of their knowledge from years of Bible study. It is meaningful to all because no matter how much you have learned over the years, there is always more to learn and also the opportunity to help someone else learn.
