James “Eddie” Moak, Jr.

March 11, 1957 – August 25, 2023

A resident of Montpelier, LA, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 11, 1957 in Independence, LA and was 66 years of age. He is survived by his wife, Jackie W. Moak; 2 daughters, Amanda Cox and Stephanie Jo Cox Lassabe; 3 grandchildren, Trinity JoAnn Cox, Seth Neal, and Alex Lassabe; mother, Sara Monistere; 2 sisters, Veola Barlow and Faye Dodd. Preceded in death by father, James E. Moak, Sr.; and step-father, Albert Monistere. Visitation at Montpelier Baptist Church from 10:00AM until religious services at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Services conducted by Rev. Rusty Durand. Interment Montpelier Cemetery, Montpelier, LA. Pallbearers will be Daryn Lassabe, Seth Neal, Alex Lassabe, Chris Morris, Nathan Barlow, and Cody Dodd.
