Today, I’m requesting prayer for Laurie Miller, Bro. Darryl’s wife. She continues to slowly improve following back surgery. Pray today is a good day for her.

TODAY’S PRAYER FOCUS

Today, let’s pray for VBS’s in all of our area churches. May the curriculum chosen by each church be one that is inspirational to both workers and children alike. You will find our area churches choose to have different curriculums because many of the area children attend VBS at more than one church each summer. Having a different curriculum allows children to learn more about God, new songs, and more Scripture. That’s a win, win, win!

VBS registration at FBC, Kentwood can be completed online, in person at the church office, or Monday when VBS begins. VBS will be from 8:30-11:30 each day next week with the commencement program Friday night.

OCC WORK DAY

  • Saturday
  • 9:00 A.M.
  • Meet in the Fellowship Hall
  • Bring a snack to share.
  • Items still needed as of today: Small flashlights, AAA Batteries, Dolls, Size 12 t-shirts. and Size 10 Panties for Girls. I’m hoping to get a final count this week.
  • Some of our main projects we will be completing the shoeboxes for packing, preparing final items for packing, and preparing a picture to include in each box.
  • This will not be our final packing!
  • I love the opportunity to send school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, toys, and an opportunity to learn about Jesus to very needy children all around the world. Most of the boxes from our church have been sent to Central America. I am seeing a trend to send more of our boxes to countries east of the U.S. We don’t know where they will go this year. Our purpose is to pack and pray over the boxes we send. We can all serve as missionaries without leave our homes!

P.S. to OCC – The listing of items for shoeboxes has recently seen SOAP has recently been changed from a most needed item to an acceptable item. In the future, it may not be sent at all due to custom regulations in some countries.
