Friday

“Look, he is coming with the clouds,

”and “every eye will see him,

even those who pierced him”;

and all peoples on earth

“will mourn because of him.”

So shall it be! Amen.

Bro. Rusty Durand did a great job preaching the first night of revival last night.  The message was about how God can use one person, each of us.  If you missed it, you can find it on FB or YouTube.  Tonight, Bro. Joe King will be presenting God’s Word to us.  Join us at 6 P.M. in person or online.

Bobby Landry of Amite has a lengthy heart procedure yesterday.  All went well.  Pray for a good recovery for him and for the family.

Another day and more friends with Covid – 19!  Please pray for the people of our area that seems to be especially hard hit at this time.  Pray for a preventive measure and better treatment for this disease.

Mr. Johnny McNabb passed away.  This was shared by his sister. Ann Huff.

As most of you have heard God called our dear oldest brother Johnny to heaven today to join his beloved wife, Monnie who preceded him to Heaven by 7 weeks and 2 days! He had COVID 19 but was recuperating from the virus but had a massive stroke from afib 2 days ago and could not overcome that.

God sent Hurricane Laura on a path that lessened the problems for our area and increased them for the people west of us.  Pray for the people who were in the path of the storm.  Pray for people to serve in ways to minister to the many needs.  Thank Him for those who “step-up” and do all they can to help in such situations.  May each of us find a way to participate in some way.

Operation Christmas Child – Thanks to two ladies from the church who asked about a need for our “shoeboxes” and who have already taken steps to meet that need.  At this point, I’m not sure what “packing the shoeboxes” will look like.  I will let you know soon.

“Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart”

Give Thanks

Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us”
And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us”
Give thanks with a grateful heart (with a grateful heart)
Give thanks to the Holy One (to the Holy One)
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart (with a grateful heart)
Give thanks to the Holy One (to the Holy One)
Give…
