Attention FBC Kentwood church attendees – Our Deacon Council met and after prayerful thought and consideration has made the decision to re-open for Worship Services only starting this Sunday morning the 23rd. At this time we will require everyone attending in person to wear a mask during the service.
Our Council will be monitoring the Covid situation within our community and will make adjustments in the future as needed. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Join Me for Prayer March 2020

Sept. 26 in Washington, D.C.

America is in trouble like never before in our lifetime. As you know, we have no hope, outside of God. We must call on His Name in faith, repent of our sins, and ask Him to heal our land.

I would like to invite you and your church to join me, my family, and thousands of other believers for a prayer march in our nation’s capital in just a few short weeks. On Saturday, Sept. 26, we will assemble at the Lincoln Memorial and make our way to the U.S. Capitol. We will stop at several points along the way to pray and ask God to heal the divisions in our nation, guide our leaders, protect our religious freedoms, and pour out His Spirit on America.

Let’s come together to show all of Washington—and the nation—that the church of Jesus Christ believes in the power of prayer and that we need more of God in America, not less. Will you stand with us in calling out to God and praying that our nation will turn to Him?

“The Lord was moved by prayer for the land” (2 Samuel 24:25, NASB).

I hope to see you in September. For the sake of our great nation—for the sake of our children and grandchildren—let’s gather in Washington, D.C., and ask the Lord to intervene. Will you share the news of Prayer March 2020 with your congregation and bring a busload when you come?

Is there any group planning a prayer march for our area?

Please be in prayer as two hurricanes could possibly hit our area in a few days. Include the people of our area in your prayers. Take some steps today to prepare, just in case. Check on others who might need some assistance in storm preparations.

I read that sandbags can be filled at area fire stations. Flooding is not usually a problem in the Kentwood area, but there are many homes within a short distance of Kentwood that could face flooding.

What could you do to help them? This is a good mission project for groups from area churches.
