“Today I am giving you a choice.
You can choose life and success or death and disaster.
I am commanding you to be loyal to the LORD,
to live the way he has told you,
and to obey his laws and teachings.
You are about to cross the Jordan River
and take the land that he is giving you.
If you obey him, you will live and become successful and powerful.”
~Deuteronomy 30:15-16 CEV~
Read the Bible in 2020 OR Listen to the Bible in 2020
Last night at church, Yvonne Birch told me she chose to use her phone app for the Bible readings and is enjoying it so much better than when she had to do the reading for herself. She shared that the introduction before the reading brought you up-to-date and set the tone. It takes only about 25 minutes. I want to tell you how excited she is so you can reconsider reading and just listen. For me, I choose to read so I can go at my own pace and mark in my Bible as I choose. You see, the teacher in me knows that is my learning style. I will probably try it just to give it a try. You may want to do so too.
Readings for January 6:
- Genesis 13: 5 – 15:21
- Matthew 5: 27-48
- Psalm 6: 1-10
