Tuesday

“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.

He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”

~Titus 3:4-5 NLT~

Please pray for Josiah Huckaby this morning as he has a heart cath.  Pray for his mom and dad who chose this child to be their very own.  That reminds me of Jesus who chose us despite of our shortcomings.

Operation Christmas Child: Yesterday, FBC Kentwood completed eight days of serving as a location for shoeboxes from our area to be brought to one location and delivered to Hammond, their next location.  The boxes are already on their way to Dallas now.  I’m thankful to say about 1.500 of those boxes came through Kentwood area people and churches.  In Hammond, they were added to others from SE Louisiana and totaled about 13,000.  That’s a lot of children who will be blessed with gifts and an opportunity to meet and choose Jesus.  Good job, folks!

Thankfulness, Day 26 – Today, I am thankful for the planes, boats, ships, cars, vans, wagons, donkeys, sleds, etc. that will carry the “shoeboxes” to the children.  The vision is to do whatever it takes to get the boxes to the hand of boys and girls.  The shoeboxes will probably be the biggest blessing so far in each young life.  The many packers will be greatly blessed in knowing many of the children will soon have Jesus in their hearts and they were able to play a small part in that.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week, whether you are part of a big celebration or quietly eat alone.  We all have so much to be thankful for every year of our lives!
