9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Operation Christmas Child could use your support as we prepare to ship shoeboxes.  One way you can help is to come to the fellowship hall this afternoon or Saturday to work on shoeboxes.  We will be filling them next month.  Another way you can help them is to share the joy of paying shipping.  The boxes will need $9.00 each to get them to their destination.  As someone who has shipped boxes internationally for more than twenty years, I can tell you the cost of shipping the boxes is a real bargain.

The senior adult revival will be held at FBC, Kentwood this morning.  At nine, coffee and donuts will be ready.  The choir will practice at 9:30.  Worship begins at 10:00 followed by lunch.  It is always a blessing be a part of the senior adult revival.  Today is the last day, so I hope you make the effort to attend today.

Today is “See You at the Pole” day for students.  As far as I know, all area schools are involved in this.  As a teacher, I was blessed to attend a number of years, starting the very first year.  What a witness it is when students share their faith with other students!  Also, tonight area youth are invited to FBC, Kentwood where there will be a celebration of the day’s big event.   This will begin at 6:30 P.M. at the Lighthouse, which is just north of FBC, K.  The flyer for this event is on my Facebook page.
