In 1963 Millie began a thirty year carer with South Central Bell and retired in 1993, where she was a union representative and voice of help for workers rights. She was featured among “The Voices” brochure and recognized for her uncanny ability to service needs and provide customer care. Those award winning attributes followed her into her next career of 12 years at North Oaks Hospital as a patient Representative. She offered care and hospitality to all those she met and was easily recognized by her large smile and friendly greetings.  In her later years she continued in her services to the community as a volunteer at Eagle Heights Community Church,CASA, Mary bird Perkins, and many other organizations.

Millie was a true servant but nothing pleased her more than her role as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife.
