Robbie Lynn posted this about her mom, Linda Callihan
An update on Mom. They will be doing surgery to remove the cancer on Thursday at MD Anderson. She will continue to have tests done for the next few days. Hopefully she will be home on Saturday. Please keep her & our family in your prayers.
Dean went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the age of 89. She was a native of Greensburg and a resident of Independence. Dean was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Independence. She was also a member of the Lady’s Auxiliary of the American Legion. Dean was a social butterfly and really enjoyed hosting parties and get togethers at her home. She loved to admire all of God’s small creations like flowers, birds, and butterflies. Dean was a wonderful cook and made memorable meals for her family and friends. She was the true definition of what a lady should be; beautiful and kind. Dean was a very giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She is already so deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dean is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Victor E. Noto; daughters, Pamela Cox (Michael), Charlene Russell (Robert), Patricia Klahorst (Chris), and Deborah Bankston (Jerry); step-daughter, Lola Scicluna (Billy); son, Charles Thomas Jr (Carlette); step-sons, Paul Noto, and John Frank Noto; sister, Linda Carol Phillips; 31 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Ruby Guy; her 1st husband, Charles N. Thomas Sr; brothers, Homer Guy, Robert Guy, and Kenneth Guy; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Thomas; and step-son, Vic Joe Noto.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond, on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow in Colonial Cemetery.
