We serve a mighty God who is showing us His medical miracles. Although Ken has a long way to go, he is waking up, talking and even sat up for 5 mins today!!!! Yes! You read it correctly!!! His mentation is not completely clear but he is smiling & communicating. He has made Kasey laugh with his funny comments & seemingly laid back demeanor. He is off all heart drips. His kidneys are slowly improving. He can’t safely swallow yet but they have started artificial nutrition. He also still has his Impella cardiac catheter which they hope to slowly wean to observe Ken’s heart ability. Everyone, including Tulane staff, are amazed by his turn-around and progress in the past 24 hours!
