This is how we know what love is:
Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
1 John 3:16
Sylvest Humphrey
Sylvester continues to slowly improve, but it is going to be a long process. He is at home with his own private nurse, his wife, Shirley. Sylvester has lost forty pounds since he got sick. Please continue to pray for Sylvester and Shirley.
Eleanor Morris
Eleanor looks and feels good. The doctors have not identified a problem. She will be seeing her regular doctor soon. Keep praying.
J.D. Smith
J.D. is seeing his doctor today and expects he may be hospitalized for tests. Pray for him as he sees his doctor and seeks explanations for the way he feels.
Graden Clemons
Graden is doing much better and was able to be at FBC, Amite yesterday. Thank-you for praying for him.
Flooding in Shreveport Area
Pray for those who have had homes damaged or destroyed by the flooding of the Red River. It was good to see pictures of Rev. Keith Rhodes chest high in the river helping people who were trapped by the water.

Vacation Bible School at The Lord’s Church this week – “Fun Run” – 6:00 – 8:30 P.M. Monday-Friday. www.thelordschurchkentwood.org/
I must say The Lord’s Day was special for me – Sunday School, worship, VBS commencement at FBC, K , and worship at NZBC with evangelist Calvin Crow and his musically talented family. I rode home telling David I learned two things about the familiar Scripture passage that I never learned before. It was a good day!
