Take on an entirely new way of life –

a God-fashioned life,

a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct

as God accurately reproduces his character in you.

~Ephesians 4:22-24 (MSG)~

Pray for Margie Williams as she is hospitalized.  Pray she is soon well enough to go home.

TODAY’S PRAYER
IMB
JUNE 15, 2010

“Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

~John 16:24~

WORLD LEADERS. “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister Stephenson King of Saint Lucia (eastern Caribbean Sea).

HIGHLAND SINGERS OF CENTRAL ASIA. There is a “Mariam” who serves in a high post in the government. She says of her President, “He is so cut off from the real world; my heart goes out to him. What chance does he have for Light, the true Light to shine into his life? I want to be the one to share Truth with him.” He has shown her great favor. Others around her were surprised at the favor, and also surprised as to why she wasn’t using that favor to feather her nest. She was astonished. “How could I turn the favor of the President to my personal benefit when I knew full well that the only reason I had that favor was that I had been sitting there praying to Jesus, asking Him for help? I was so afraid that I was going to be disgraced, and Jesus not only did away with that, but my fears as well! How then could I use His grace and mercy for my own benefit?!” She is sincerely concerned for the ruler of her country, for his salvation. Please pray that the Lord will give her an opportunity to share Truth with the President in a meaningful way. Pray that the Lord will be glorified in her life and his! highlandsingers@gmail.com

MAHAFALY OF MADAGASCAR (mah-hah-FAH-lee). Thank you for praying for Team Mahafaly as they began translating a chronological Bible storying set. Give thanks for this report: “Team member Grant Waller was able to share his first story in Mahafaly. Although he still needs some work, the people were overwhelmed with excitement to hear the Bible in their own language!”

Pray for the delegates to the Southern Baptist Convention this week in Orlando.  Pray for Dr. Jerry and Mrs. Bobbie Rankin as he retires from the IMB leadership presidency.  A reception will be held for them today in conjunction with the convention.  The Rankins will be living in Mississippi, their home state.  Pray for them as they determine how God would have them serve next.

Have a great day.  Try not to get too hot!

Anna Lee
