Thank God for “Miss” Shirley’s life and that now she has reached her heavenly home and is no more in living in that worn out body. I’m sure she’s already singing with a heavenly choir.

Operation Christmas Child
- In Ukraine, a shoebox gift distribution took place at a Connect Center where kids come as the court system takes custody of them. Many have physical issues related to lack of care by parents, some have AIDS, and some have no parents at all. They are here for 3 months before being sent to an orphanage. This is an extremely emotional time and place for them. An OCC ministry partner has been working at this Connect Center for 15 years and has recently had a favorable response to begin planning for OCC’s discipleship program The Greatest Journey!
- A ten year-old boy from Nicaragua shared his testimony, “Now that I have Jesus in my heart, I know that I have to grow and trust in God. I’ve been sick and have been healed. I have also had big changes in my life- the best of which has been my salvation. My parents tell me that I’m now a son who makes them glad. I’ve been impacted by learning of Christ’s sacrifice for us. Many thanks for all you’ve done for me. God bless you.”
- In 2006, OCC delivered over 44,000 shoebox gifts to children in need living in Vietnam!
- Nebojsa had epilepsy and often went to the hospital for treatment. When he received his box in the hospital, he opened it impatiently. Inside, he found a hat and gloves, candies and a school set including a compass and ruler. When he saw this, Nebojsa started crying. His mother explained that he was failing math class because he told the teacher he forgot his supplies, but the truth was that his family didn’t have the money to buy them. He held the supplies in his arms for a long time, with tears in his eyes.
- “I had total knee replacement six weeks ago and this is what I did to keep my hands busy and my sanity intact, 41 ragdolls and 65 hats for Operation Christmas Child. Praise the Lord!” – Judy S.
