Alice Faye Lee had a heart attack and an angiogram this morning at OLOL.  Please pray for Alice Faye and her family.

Tommy Kuss needs to continue to be on our prayer list.  As you pray for him, please pray for his family.

Susan Rimes is again having issues with kidney stones.  Please pray for Susan and her family as she seeks relief from the pain.

David  has an appointment with his cardiologist at 12:30 Tuesday.  Keep praying for him.

Gloria Mae Patin Addison

Gloria Mae Patin Addison of Kentwood, LA passed away at age 86 on August 11, 2015 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband, Julius Richard Addison; a granddaughter, Raquel Marie Harvin; her parents, Newton Patin and Mary Alice Henderson Patin; 2 sisters, Wanda Harris and Ruby Thompson and 2 brothers, Stanley and John Patin. She is survived by her children, Mae Addison Carlson and husband, Richard, Howard Addison and wife, Margaret (Peggy), Charlotte Addison Provost and husband, Doug and Phyllis Addison Whatley and husband, Chris; nine grandchildren; Richard Michael Harvin, Eric Stephen Provost, Benjamin Scot Provost, Martine Carlson Lynch, Stephanie Carlson Stokes, Ryan Addison, Krysten Addison, Justin Addison and Wesley Addison; seven great grandchildren, Trey Harvin, Rayburn Harvin, Gabriella Addison, Denton Addison, Olivia Addison, Erica Carlson and Grayson Stokes and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation at The Lord’s Church from 6 PM until 8PM on Thursday and from 9 AM until religious services at 11 AM on Friday, August 14, 2015. Services conducted by Rev. Don Meadows. Operation Christmas Child – The bags that list items needed are available in the hallway across from the church kitchen (FBC,K).

  1. Take a bag, two bags, or several bags for you or for your class,
  2. Purchase the item listed on the bag in the quantity suggested.
  3. Return the bag and your purchases to the same area.
  4. Pray for the children who will receive the shoeboxes in a few months.

Some of you have been very faithful to help with this big project that will touch so many lives.  Today, I want to point out the Faithful Class.  This group of ladies has made purchases each month.  I thank them, but God will bless them for their efforts.  They are leading out by example!

We have made several calls, but do not have any information on  Walter except that he is still in ICU.  We were given a room number of 2407, but he is not there now.  No family members were in the waiting rooms by ICU.

Pray for Walter and Kathy today as he has bypass surgery at North Oaks.  When the surgery is over, it will be time to pray for the long recovery period they are facing.  Your prayers will be greatly appreciated.

Thursday Afternoon

It has been a long week, but one that ended well.  We appreciate all those who checked on us while we were getting David some needed tests and treatment.  Things happen so quickly at times.  It became all I could do to keep up with what I needed to do for David. We were in the La. Heart Hospital in Lacombe, but just got home this afternoon.  We appreciate all the prayers and contacts.  The care was wonderful.  God was faithful to us and guided us with decisions/procedures as they came along.

To top it off, today is our 48th anniversary.  Instead of going out for supper as planned, it is being delivered to us at 5 P.M.  We have been so blessed for all these years and still are.
